Here are some photos of a guy I saw at a beach near my house. It was low tide and the water was going to start coming back in soon. If he had stayed out much longer it would have risen to half way up the truck by high tide. He was 30 yards out past the weed line and in really soft dirt. Thankfully for him someone was able to pull him out rather soon.

Ahh boat ramps. On another forum someone once said that a boat ramp and a six pack can provide an afternoon of endless entertainment. Very true.

oh trust me. especially on a holiday weekend when a storms fixing to roll through. or that first 75 degree weekend of the year and all the weekend warriors come out of wintertime hiding.... its a blast..

I used to work at a marina and I have to say, nothing beats the DB that waits until the first snow of the winter to get their boat out of the lake. Watching a full-size truck back down a ramp and try to pull out a boat with 6" of snow on the ground is just plain fun to watch. It's even better when they finally realize that it isn't going to happen and pay us to pull their truck and boat out. :bash:
EDIT: I thought of something better... I've seen more than one guy struggle to get the boat on the trailer and after like 25 attempts, he's so happy he finally did it, he gets in the truck and takes off. Only he forgot to turn the engine off. Somewhere between 15 and 20 miles down the road, the boat started on fire.

That one I can actually understand, some tidal areas are REALLY crazy.(Anchorage, AK?) I suspect that truck got stuck in the previous low and that you are looking at it after a full tide cycle. But how stupid (or drunk) do you have to be to try to put a boat in the water with the truck IN FRONT of the boat? Am I missing something?

Because I don't have 4 wheel drive and I wasn't sure how soft the ground was to reach him. I didn't feel like being stuck in the same situation he was in.
