im pretty sure the 265 tires that are on most 4runner models are a little over 10 inches..
to be exact i think its 10.4
you can get 285 on 4runners with some trimming which is 11.2 inches wide
so you can get anywhere from 10 to 11 i think.
12 would really be pushin it.
