Baja Rack vs. Gobi Stealth Rack

Which rack is best for sea kayaks?
Well I am trying to decide which rack to get and I would like to get some input from current owners. My problem (as you can see from the photo below, hopefully you see the photo!) is that the factory roof rack is too short for my kayak setup. I have a set of Yakima hully rollers and saddles and as you can see I can't get them very far apart. On my old Xterra I could get the rollers and the saddles far enough apart to not have to tie the bow or sterns down. I would like to get a full length rack to directly attach the Yakima attachments to.
I like the idea of the Baja flat rack but I also like the idea of the Gobi with the ladder. My concern on the Baja is that the bars won't be the right size for the attachments (about 1 1/8") and there won't be enough clearance under them to get the attachments on or to tie down lumber. In the Gobi group buy someone mentioned that the Gobi rack would fit the Yakima accessories. What I don't like about the Gobi is that the front bar is higher the rest of the rack which makes it harder to carry lumber up there as the boards would not be flat. The ladder on the Gobi would be nice as the wife is only 5 feet tall and it would be easier for her to get up to tie the boats down.
I don't need the mesh in either design so hopefully I can get that worked out with either manufacturer. What I need is a rack that I can attach the Yakima pieces too, and that I could put the rollers as far back and as far forward as possible. This would help ease getting the kayaks on without damage the trim over the rear wiper. The front saddles should be able to be at least as far up as the back of the sunroof and ideally would work on the front section. I don't know how the saddles would fit on the front bar of the Gobi since it is angled up. Secondary consideration would be for how easy it is to tie lumber down. I do a bit of woodworking and my favorite maple supplier is an hour away. I don't want to always have to haul the trailer down when I only need a few pieces. I don't need lights on the rack either.
Any input or suggestions would be greatly apprieciated!

May I ask what length of cross bars you are using? I've got two ocean kayaks to mount on top of the 4R and the 48" was too narrow with the rail grab.

I have the 58" set. I mount the outside roller/saddle just on the outside of clamp. This makes the boats closer to the edge and easier to cinch up. I hope to just be able to attach the saddles to either the Gobi or the Baja cross bars and eliminate the need for the Yakima bars and feet. The 2 boats will be tighter together but they should fit.
Just installed the full-length low profile rack this evening. Sorry for the crappy pictures...Really happy with the rack and the pictures do not do it justice.
LOOKS AWESOME! How much was it? Do you get any "noise" at fwy speeds?

The rack goes for $950, however I paid $100 extra to get a mesh floor (as opposed to bar floor) in mine + shipping ~$120 to the East Coast.
There is a little whistling noise but you can only hear it when the sunroof is open. Not a big deal.

Looks Good, With the sides it definitely looks much larger than mine. I wonder when Harper is getting his rack. I would imagine it should be any day now.

Finally decided on the LED light bar and just ordered it today. It was between the Vision X Evo Primes or the new Baja Designs Stealth XPG's.Rigid Industries new ones still are not out yet. Went with the 40" Stealths and BD is building them today to ship tomorrow.Liked the fact that they had 3 modes, On ,dust and strobe that swayed me. Stealth XPG, 40 LED Bar
Got them from Poly Performance Poly Performance but had a hassle getting the facebook 10% off code(it's FBFND-2011 and good until 5/31) as they said the discount with free shipping didn't apply. The wiring harness was an extra $89 though.

Going to put either a couple of 2 inch Rigid Ind. Dually's or Vision X's Solstice Prime's in the rear corners of the rack. Have them to be able to swivel if I need to light up the side.
