If its quality stuff and what you want who cares? I spent $1100 on a full race exhaust for my motorcycle and don't regret one penny of it.

How long did the Rack install take? I hope the hints I gave you in your other thread helped. Although I know I didnt include the wrench and socket sizes. I used their tools at their office in San Diego to bolt mine on and forgot. Was the first time their sales staff had seen one go on.

i had my cousin there to help, but he ended up being worthless ha ha. the install was SIMPLE. I did it a little differently than they suggested in that i loosely attached the mounting brackets to the rack and slid the rack on, then hit everything with the wrench/ratchet. the key is to remember NOT to completely tighten everything until you are positive you have it even. the first time i fastened everything i had it hanging about 1 inch too far forward and the sunroof hit it when it popped up. So i had to loosen everything and move it back. That took a whopping 5-7 minutes.
Regarding the cost, I know I will never get back what I've put into the truck. But I also know that what I got for the money is incredible, and my next toyota truck (either 5th gen or sequoia) will be treated just as nicely. Until kid #2 comes along this 3rd gen isnt going anywhere.

any idea if the mega mule rack will fit a 3rd gen and still allow the rear hatch to open all the way? i dont care if i cant climb out of my sun roof, i love the look of the full rack. just need to make sure i can still get the rear hatch all the way open

Based on the size of the one i have, i DOUBT the megamule will allow you to open the hatch, and even if it did, if you wanted to push the sunroof open you would be prevented from doing so. best is to call them at bajarack.

That is one good looking rack. I love the way it sits on top of the roof, It seems that it came like that from the dealership. Very nice! thanks for sharing those pictures.
