So it's exciting to me as I had this on my FJC. I emailed sales about making me a custom one with no moonroof hole and with the light bar actuator - they already have it, but not on their website.

I really like that setup for 2 reasons.

1. No extra wind resistance from the light bar.
2. Its not being advertised to steal like most light bars. And boy do they get stolen.....

I think this may be the Rack I get, been debating between [MENTION=68079]drabbits[/MENTION] & Gobi. I still like the full rack by drabbits. What to do?:noidea:

I had one on the FJC and it's great - you're exactly right about the advertisement for thieves. You can't even tell it's there when it's down. The other great part is garage-ability and the fact that you can adjust the light up or down to get better coverage on the fly.

For those interested, this light bar from Amazon fits very well in the brackets, and I never had an issue with performance, condensation, etc.

Curious if this would fit. I'll have to look into the dimensions or contact Baja.
This will probably be what I go with, no matter the roof rack. Can't justify a $1K to 2K light bar when I'm trolling ranch roads. I'm not racing the Baja 1000.

I ordered the version with sunroof opening. Bajarack said if I wanted to order the insert they would make it for me later. The rack arrived at the shop this week but I have been too busy with work to open up the box and install it.

Correct, the Bajarack units reuse the factory mounting points and the front two feet just rest on the roof.

Thats funny, I did the same thing. Few days ago I was I was about to pull a trigger on a gobi stealth but decided to contact Bajarack to see if they can make me a custom flat utility rack with spy system and no sunroof cutout. Having own 2 Bajaracks before (standard and flat) I know I'm making the right choice they make good product for a descent price and are a great company to work with

To be fair, I like the thought that this cuts down on the increased height of the truck after adding roof accessories. It's been a worry of mine, as it's already a tight fit in my garage. My buddy's FJ won't fit in most garages, and I don't want that issue with mine.

I'm not a member of HoT so I'm not aware of their runs. Have we met/wheeled together? There are no bad memories, just lessons learned.

Had it installed yesterday. No sun roof cutout because the solenoid/actuator occupies the space right above the opening. I was a little disappointed but the design of the current SPY system dictates its placement here. Chalking this one up to miscom on their end between fabrication and front office. My ladder should be here at the end of the month.

Have not had the chance to install the light or wire up the SPY system.

Retracted the sun roof to check wind noise and its a little more than stock but nothing annoying.

I was also worried that I would not be able to tilt the glass up, so tapped the button about 10 times afraid it was going to make contact and crack. Luckily it clears by a few mm.
