Wrong. I took some measurements of the UCA Ball Joints and spindle holes from both a 4th gen 4runner and a 2nd gen Tacoma. You cannot mis match UCAs and spindles.

Pretty sure I just posted first hand knowledge. Should take a look at the link chief. Not only did I literally take measurements myself, you physically cannot force a 4th gen ball joint into a 2nd gen Tacoma spindle. I ****ing tried. It doesn't work. I also tried to stuff a 2nd gen ball joint into a 4th gen spindle. I own both vehicles so I had parts to test. If that isn't first hand knowledge, well, I don't know what to tell you.

Moog makes complete lower control arms with ball joints and bushings that can be had for ~$165 each.

Don't buy those! Those moog ball joints are absolute garbage. I bought a set for my wife's car and I couldn't believe how chincy they were. And I've seen videos of guys installing them on their 3rd gens. And completely failing after I just a few months. I seen a video of a guy who put them on and within two months. It's snapped and his whole tire folded under.

No one was mixing in tacoma spindles but you.

Also the lexus GX460 is the same front end.

When I was looking for ball joints on mine, which I have not yet replaced. You can get the OEM brand joints from PartsGeek that are just the ball joints. You don't have to buy the control arm. That's what I plan to do this coming summer when I go to do my Alignment cam bolt Delete install....

Do you people just skim without reading? Because that was the stupidest response I've seen today. He stated that all the front ends are the same when in fact not all parts are interchangeable. You cannot put a Tacoma uca into a 4th gen spindle. You cannot put a 4th gen uca into a Tacoma spindle. It's physically impossible.

Ball diameter is larger on the SUVs. I remember someone trying to mix parts and finding out the diameter differences. So yes they are all the same suspension but the parts vary slightly so not exactly the same.

I'm 99% positive that the 5th gen UCA will not work on a 4th gen. I found out the hard way when I picked up some 2nd gen Tacoma spindles (gussted) that the ball joint hole at the top of the spindle is different between Tacomas and 4th gens. The 5th gen also has a different part number from the Tacoma or 4th gen 4runner. I ended up buying a set of TC UCAs from a Tacoma buddy because he was changing out to DK.
