How did you black out the valences?
^ What every dealer says about anything he doesn’t have in stock.
Like a concrete-operational child who doesn’t think the ball exists if you hide it behind your back, dealers will tell you anything not moldering on their lot cannot be had.

I was planning to buy a 19, but they sold it in between Saturday when I test drove and Tuesday when I bought... Not at all disappointed though. I was going to replace the head unit to get Android Auto anyway, and the new safety features are pretty cool (even if I don't really need them, my wife appreciates them). Blackout overlays are on the way, obviously, and I need to figure out how I want to get rid of the silver valances.

So....I've been following this thread for the last couple years. always envious of anyone who had a "color" 4runner. Loved my 4th gen, but didn't buy it for the color. Anyway, last week my daughter and I picked up this '20 ORP and traded in the silver one. My 4th T4R, and my favorite. Will have to wait until after surgery, well after, to start changing the suspension to my liking, but I love everything else...and I finally have a red one. As my daughter points out, it's my favorite color. Woohoo!

It's nice to see the roof rails are now black to help you guys do the black out.
I'm getting mine w/in the week hopefully. BR as well. I think if I keep the stock rims I'm partial to not blacking out valences etc. I'm having them install general grabber ATX's on it for the day I pick it up which should look cool. I might leave it like that for a while... If the incessant urge to check this forum twice per day continues after the thing arrives I don't know how realistic that plan will be, however.

Got a few more things done before I have to stop for who knows how long...
Black hood scoop, front valance, rear exhaust tip (black chrome), TRD logo's on sides and lower back hatch and what else...oh yeah, new tires on the FX FN wheels (gunmetal gloss) I had for sale. My wife said to keep them after I survived the first part. Worked out well. Had to trim some front lower bumper with a knife, but the other standard mods did fine. They'll hold until suspension upgrade time. Mainly since it'll be parked for 4 weeks.
PS I've decided not to rip off the rear bumper and change out that valance for black...cause the wife said, "Seriously?!!". What? I was just having fun. It can wait I guess. Cheers all, G.

I thought the back valance was just as easy as the front, but I pulled the front bumper. The fn wheels look great. I think black wheels would finish off mine. I’m leaning towards the new Icon vector 6.

I did the front valance the hard way, but it was fun. I enjoy the challenges these days, they take my mind off things. But, she wants me to take it easy over the weekend, and I've got another test/procedure Friday, so I'm out of time. So it'll look like this for a while.

What RTT is that? Looking for a low profile hard top.
Sure did bud. It was inevitable and figured might get a better price on the stock tires if un-used.

Just picked this up at a dealer in Washington and drove it back to California over the Veteran's Day weekend. Love the dynamic cruise control - saved me during my 1,500 mile drive down.
