Just picked up this 21 ORP today! Very excited to start blacking it out as well. Think I’ve decided on JBA UCAs. I can’t decide on what lift. I’d really like to be at a true 3” in the front and 2” in the rear. Thinking about Dobinson, 5100/OME combo, Toytec/5100 combo......

This looks good. I'm curious:

-How difficult was wrapping your scoop?
-How effecive is it at cutting glare? I'm sure there's still some, but is it tolerable now?
-Has it been exposed to a lot of heat and direct sun? If so, any changes as a result?
-Anything else to pass on?

Finally found my Unicorn wheels. Found them used in great condition and the fifth wheel still in the box. Only seen them released once in 17x9s and brushed bronzed. Plus she cleans up well!

Thanks! I didn't pick the color, it picked me as the dealer had one coming in in two weeks after I called them, and couldn't pass it up. Like a lot of people said, the red is a great color that's really growing on me.

LOL! No mods, but I've hosed it off a couple times, and bought a new doggie bed for our canine beast who rides in the back cargo area .
Nothing beyond that yet. Looking into how much to add some film protection to the back of the mirrors and front parts, and possibly a 5 Year Ceramic coating. Possibly shocks down the road if we decide it's too bouncy for a Daily Driver. I did opt for the KDSS, which helps a lot for body lean, but not so much with nose dive and the general effects of a soft suspension. Our '99 4Runner actually handles firmer. Haven't off-roaded it yet. End of next month will be the big test on the 17 mile Forest Service road to our cabin and various old logging roads.

Yeah, I picked my BR ORP cause the color really kept calling to me. I haven't regretted it for a second. I got rid of a lot of the brake dive with 5100s, pretty cheap and easy option. I don't have KDSS though.

The funny thing is the more I drive it, the more I notice other red cars, and the more I like them. Plus, it's kinda cool to be driving one of the only red 4Runners in San Francisco, among the sea of white, silver and gray ones!

How is your overall ride quality on and off road? I don't want to make it harsh or bumpy, just tight and more controlled feeling. I have read a few posts on the Bilsteins before and a lot of folks like them, and know there are a gazillion Suspension Mod threads out there, so don't want to go off-topic too far.

Overall I'm very happy with the way it rides. I didn't like the softness of the stock set up as far as body roll and brake dive. The 5100s are firmer for sure but ride nicely on and off road. I'm not a hard core off roader by any means so I didn't need a crazy expensive suspension upgrade. The 5100s allowed me to lift mildly (along with a cornfed spacer in the rear) and throw on some 275s. Idk how to post pics here to show you how it sits now lol

Thanks...still learning, but was it just shocks, or with different coil over springs as well?
I think a mild lift would be nice too.
