It's really coming along man! That Double din unit is something I've been wanting to get for a few years now!

thanks bro, Its not as fancy as some of the 500+ dollar units.
Once in a while its slow to respond and etc...

But the navi comes in handy and for the money I paid I cant complain.

Nice work so far.
Where did you find the mica green spray paint? I can't find it anywhere.

Automotivetouchup.com Touch Up Paint, Aerosol Spray Paint and Paint Touch Up Accessories

I gotta say the paint match is damm good for a do it myself spray bomb , I did the base coat in mica follwed by a few coats of clear.

Who makes that unit?

Its a ebay unit, Not sure the brand. The processor is samsung it said in the specs but its a no name unit , I paid 230 shipped for it.

Hey Max, what do you think of the Eneos fluids? I was thinking about changing over to Synth fluids but wasn't sure how the truck would respond since I'm pretty sure it has only used Dino for it's entire 160K miles?

I like them , first time I used it was in my t-56 of my camaro and it shifted much smotther. Ive used it ever since.
I purchased mine through amazon.
I was alittle nervus about switching to synthetic atf at 120 k, I hear alot of mixed responses on the subject. But so far so good

what kind of LEDs did you use for
the HVAC? the ones i ordered are like tri beams or something like that.

I used some tri leds from ebay, I put some clear silicone on the top bulb to try to blur the hotspot. Worked well

My gauges on the other other hand have some hotspots, but the 5 led #24 bulbs wont fit through the rear hole, which means Id have to pull the gauge faces off. So im using the single HP LEDS from super bright for now.

I got an '01 base model and ill be starting a very similar build very soon..

Do you plan on painting youre mirrors/door handles?

eBay has all you need with clear corners. Search 4Runner clear and you'll find plenty.

When you say '01 Base model, do you mean SR5? It was to my knowledge that Toyota discontinued the base model 4Runner just before 01.

My base model, just for reference, I found a better choice to replace the handles and mirrors with ones from the junkyard. That way, at least, I got the newer style mirrors like you'd find 2000-2002.

yes they ride nice, Its my daily and I dont do any serious wheelin so they suit me fine.

Ill try to dig up the exact model # 's for you.

Do the Hankooks stick out past your wheelwells now? Can't quite tell, but it doesn't look like it. I'm looking at exactly the same setup for my 2wd un-lifted 2001, but I'm having a hard time deciding between the 265/65R17 or the 255/70R17 like yours. Currently equipped with the little 255/75R15 OEM setup, which is basically flush with the edge of the wheel well - but way too small. It looks like the Tundra wheel brings most of the wider diameter IN toward the truck, instead of out past the wheel well. That would suit me, but my wheels don't get here for another couple days so I'm frettin' about it! Well, that and what size tire to get!

Good lookin' rig, maxspeed96ct!

How does it ride with the spacers and Ranchos? That seems like a good compromise of better clearance without spending a ton of money, which is what I was looking for. Looks great with the wheels.
