I don't think it's possible to not have roadside assistance anymore. Check with your cell phone company, check with your credit card companies, check with your insurance carrier, I almost guarantee you've got free towing from somebody.

You can change the filter on the side of the road. If you're dedicated, you can drop the tank and swap the fuel pump (too bad you just filled the tank!). But if it's your injectors this time, you can't clean them with Seafoam or whatever unless the engine is running. I'd find another way to bring it home.

sadly, I dropped my tank twice....before I found that panel....:ybrick:


so now I try to make sure people know, just in case.

Lol no worries, my new to do list is, new gas tank, new fuel injectors (found a good set with 4 hole spray pattern for $100 bucks) new sending unit and new spark plugs and wires. After that I can get started on the suspension. This truck is burning a hole in my pockets, but I love that damn thing too much!!

If cylinder #3 is misfiring due to the inector being bad, would it be a bad idea if I went wheeling this weekend with the truck? it is a mountainous trail, lots of going up and down.

Kid - if you think that's muddy - you should be there when it's REALLY wet! Those little puddles get to be four feet deep.

You're most welcome lol, its a awesome place to go and until you put those pictures up I had no idea it was called flagpole knob lol. I really want to go when it starts snowing. It looks like it would be a lot of fun! and Kid, Mud is awesome, washing it off is the part that sucks lol.

This might seem like a noob question. But anywho since the first gen, and the second gen share so much, Will rear rotors on a 1994 4runner fit on my 89?

Yes they will, i have rotors, booster, master cylinder and calipers off a 95 runner on my 87 runner, what a difference it made compared to my old brakes.

You mean drums? Yes. 4Runners don't get rear disk brakes until 2004.

I like its color. Is its motor long-lasting? How long has it drove?

I like it's color too, but it being all 3 tone doesn't appeal to me much. The motor is awesome I love it, it's nearly bulletproof if you treat it right. Currently it's got 199xxx miles on it. With the parts I've changed out I'm expecting another 200k lol.
