Will the 3.0 sr5 clusters fit in the DLXs? I'm looking to have a tachometer. I wanna know if it bolts on and everything will work... such as this one perhaps?

I'm pretty sure the 3VZE tachometer won't read right with a 22RE

Well I decided that I wanted to upgrade to bigger tires but I didn't want 32s. They are just too big and heavy for my liking, takes too much power from my engine and what not. So the next best thing to do was upgrade my wheel size and go to 265x75xR16s. I went and bought some nice 16s from a 05 4Runner that came with some decent tires that are 265x70xr16s. In a few weeks time I plan on buying a set of wrangler duratracs in the 265x75xr16 size.

Noticed one of my ball joints was showing grease and, a little crack. So I decided this deal was too good to pass up! Anyone know what else I should order with this deal since I'm redoing the whole front suspension?

If you're doing inners and outers, save yourself a little hassle and order new tie rod end sleeves too. Save the old ones for trail spares.

And if you're really doing the WHOLE front end, that kit is missing a steering stabilizer, sway bar bushings, and a-arm bushings.

So if a v6 sr5 4runner instrument cluster won't fit in my 22re, will a 22re sr5 pickup instrument cluster fit in there. The ones that have a tacometer with them?

Took me a second to figure out what a taco meter was, but I get it now.

A pickup cluster will work, just make sure it's from an '84-'88 pickup with 22RE and W56 and you'll be set.

No, the mini truck went to the next gen a year before the 4Runner. Get an '89 minitruck cluster and you'll be pissed.

I love the new wheels. They look like the ones on the 1st gen 4Runner Hot Wheels truck.

The '89 FSM is like finding a unicorn. I did get one a long time ago after stalking them forever on eBay.

Thanks Nervo, I love them too but I don't know if I'll be keeping them. After a few weeks of having them. They feel heavy for my truck with that tire size and, if I go to 265x75xr16s it will get even heavier and rob me of what little power I got anyways. I might go back to 15 inch wheels and get a set of duratracs in 31s. It's a shame because these wheels have grown on me lol.

So went ahead and bought myself this 1990 corolla for $550. This will be my daily driver and commuting car. That means I am no longer worried about the gas mileage of my Runner as it will be the weekend warrior. That being said I am going for a 2.5 inch lift. I've read online that with BJ spacers up front and Old man Emu leafs in the rear I could get 2.5 inches, any truth to that? What shocks should I order with this setup so I have the most down travel and not mess up my shocks in the rear??? Also I am going back to 15 inch rims in order to get 32x11.50R15 BFGs because the Duratracs I planned on don't come in that size. If anybody has any other ideas for a cheap lift like said above^ please do let me know. Thanks guys.
