This morning I pulled my old battery out along with the factory battery cable harness to make room for my new CBI battery tray and a group 31 battery. while I was at it, I decided to make all new battery cables since I was wanting to do the Big 3 mod as well.
All went well except for 1 wire, the 8 gauge white wire pictured below (from another writeup) that enters the front of the factory fuse block at the bottom. I was using this writeup that is for a Tacoma, but I cannot figure out how to get the fuse block apart to gain access to this wire.

For the moment, I have the wire hanging loose. My 4Runner seems to be running fine, so do I even need this wire? If I do, how do I get to it so that i can route it like it is shown in the picture?
