Battery Dying too fast?

i havent left my lights on or anything like that

but my battery is almost dead so my car barely starts

i have an aftermarket alarmsystem that has a little red light that stays on unless i turn it off

could this be why my battery is almost dead?


also this battery is less than a year old

My 1991 4Runner has same problem. I have replaced battery after battery. Finally found out my 8 year old alarm system(code alarm) was draining the battery. Some kind of malfunction in the alarm itself. Once i replaced the alarm, it was fine. I would suggest going back to where you got the alarm installed and having them check it out.
