Went to O'reilly's this morning and bought a new battery, the guy who sold it installed it backwards so when he went to hook up the power cable to the battery the horn turned on and there was a spark.
He then hooked it up correctly. The vehicle does drive however the radio does not turn on and the remote will not lock the doors/unlock the doors or arm the alarm.
Going to drop it off at the stealership today. Called O'reilly corporate and they said to bring in the receipt and they will reimburse me.
My question is regarding the new battery, should I get it replaced? Does hooking up the battery backwards somehow damage the battery?
