Battery removal?

Aside from possibly resetting all the radio pre-sets and the clock, is there anything else to be concerned about when removing the battery?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, 4DR

I've unhooked the battery a couple of times and other than what you mention above, there were no other issues.

If you use your tripometers (A and B) to keep track of gas mileage or anything else, it'll be lost.

re-initialize windows?

re-initialize your power windows, sunroof and rear window. why are you removing your battery?

I am not sure I need to remove the battery per se, however, I might need to disconect it to make an accessory attachment.

How does one re-initialize the power windows, rear window, and moon-roof?

TIA, 4DR

No, that's in non-volatile RAM in the main ECU. Darn!

I thought the mileage was stored in the eproms on the instrument cluster's PCB. Is the mileage now stored in the ECU?

After removing the battery, the AUTOMATIC function of the driver and rear window and the sunroof will not work.

To re-initialize, just hold the window buttons to complete a complete up and down cycle.

After that the AUTO function will work again.

I can't find any documentation about where the mileage is stored. The TSB I was thinking of about reprogramming a new ECU was for the VIN, not the mileage. My mistake.

See my earlier reply... the linked thread has all the directions.
