BC Toyota Sucks

Went in today to purchase my 4runner after putting down a security deposit last week, i wanted to wait and see if there was going to be a better deal.. The dealer now tells me that they are no longer going to be giving me the 1000$ toyota loyalty discount or the 2 year maintenance free. Guess I am going to have to wait longer for my 4runner TE

which dealership did you go to if you dont mind me asking?
 
Jimmy pattison in the automall by guildford.. They said before I would still get the incentves from last month, but now there saying I only get the ones that are available when I accept delivery

So you took a gamble on whether or not Toyota would have a better deal in March than the current one and lost when one was not announced? Now you are upset at them?

You feel they lied to you about being able to get the old incentives in the new month? If I was told that I would be a little cautious. I would wonder how they would be able to offer last month and this months specials at the same time.

I put my 'deposit' down, then took delivery about a week later. All the warranty paperwork has it starting on my deposit date, not the actual delivery date. I have a call into HQ about how they can do that.

They may have thought they could have still gotten you your 1k, but they found out they could not. Still, would be their mistake for telling you that you could. Things do not always work out when you take a gamble though.
 
if you didnt get it in writing i dont think you've got any options bud. also, i dont think waiting is going to improve things either.

also, stay the hell away from open road, they were terrible when i was going to buy mine and ended up going somewhere else and having to wait longer.
 
It's a Canadian thing. If you check their website, there are absolutely no incentives for the 4Runner...not even the loyalty and free maintenance thing.

i got the free maintenance thing why i picked up my ride back in january :D
 
It can go the other way some times. When I bought my son's Matrix AWD I had already signed the deal and had to wait over 1 month for delivery from the factory. I got the discounts that were in effect at the the time the deal was signed, and at delivery I also got the additional $700 discount that was in effect when I took delivery. I wasn't complaining.
 
Just purchased my new 2011

I just picked up my new 2011 Trail Edition 4Runner from JP Toyota and I was very well treated and paid a very low price. I would say I was very satisfied and would send a friend. I do need to say I dealt with GM and Sales Manager.

I took delivery March 24 2012.

By the way I love the KDSS so far and can't wait to test it off road.

I don't; and that isn't to say that Toyota dealers are bad, it's that car dealers are bad.

My experiences with countless GM dealerships over the years have been gut wrenching.

Ford dealers have been consistently good, though.
 
We have nothing but good things to say about the dealership in nanaimo. Bought our tacoma their in 09. And traded it for the 4runner in dec 11. We got close to 4grand off a 2012 limited.

We used this website for pricing to give us a ballpark of where to start dealing at. It'll also tell you all the incentives for a particular model and whether or not certain incentives can be bundled together for more savings.

I think it's just the old saw that if you're happy you might tell one or two people, but if you're not you'll tell everyone.

I've had nothing but great experiences with the two Toyota dealerships I deal with in Calgary. Bought it at Canyon Creek because the saleman was very low pressure. Didn't try to force all the extras on me, truck I got was exactly what I ordered, came within the 4-6 days I was told, bought back the stock tires from me without a hassle. When the truck arrived he even took a couple pics of it with his phone and sent them to me. I sent him one of my off roading pics, which he's been using as his desktop wallpaper ever since.

I also dealt with Heninger Toyota for my lift install, some body work, and their parts department. Nothing but great service there too.
