BCS Championship Game

What did you guys think of the game (if you can call it that?) Sorry Notre Dame fans, but you had no business being there. I think most people would have loved to see Oregon take on 'Bama. At least the Ducks would put up a fight.

Anyways, congrats to the Tide on another championship year. SEC prevails again, for now...

I didn't watch it. Went to the gym instead. I did DVR it but I had a feeling it would be a blowout. Just shows you the importance of some sort of playoff system. I don't think 4 teams is the answer either, but it's a start. I think at minimum you have 6 teams. Top two teams get a bye and go from there. Plenty of time to do it. Both teams had over a month off before playing last nights game.

I think people would feel a lot better about blowouts in a final game if the losing team had to fight their way to that game.

I agree. The BCS system is definitely flawed. ND had no business playing a team like Alabama. The game was brutal to watch. It was obvious from the first few plays that ND wasn't going to have a chance.

I'm a Tennessee fan which means I have to hate Bama, but I was glad to see the SEC win again.

Admittedly, I'm a Duck fan who feels there's a valid argument that we should have played Alabama. Also crying over the fact that we could have done the same beatdown to ND :sobbing:

It's just hard when you consider who SHOULD be ranked #1 and #2 to play each other vs who DESERVES to be in that game. I will say that while Notre Dame should not have been ranked #1, they did earn the spot. Good thing Ohio State was on sanctions eace:

I would love to have seen Bama against Oregon, Stanford, or even Texas A&M again.
