First let me tell you guys & galls about the performance of the 4Runner on its first real road trip. One way the trip was 426 miles, which was completed on one tank of gas each way (So nice not having to stop for gas). The total time one way was just over 8 hours, 7 hours moving time. I averaged 19.5 mpg down and 20.5 mpg back, at an average speed was 61 mph and a top speed of :naughty: mph (Didn

The guy takes about two steps and he drops out of sight, so me and the wife look at each other and laugh. But the joke is on us, all of sudden he reappears. Not only is he airborne but I swear he is laughing every time he circles the spot he took off from. He would fly for about 15/20 min. then set down in a couple steps, right where he started, he make it look so easy. Damn that looked like fun!

The weather for the first day was cloudy, 60 degrees, but luckily no rain. So me and the wife decide to tour the entire OBX, check out the properties, and find some beach offroading. This is early on a bridge crossing the Oregon Inlet.

The 4Runner is in its elements on the beach, you defiantly need 4wd to cruise these beaches.

Now, for some fun! We drove to one end of the beach, where there was no one on the beach for a mile or so.

Well, not according to Roger Ranger. $125 DONUTS, he says! Unsafe driving. I have no idea where he was hiding. He was all gung-ho, what an asshole.

Nice pics! Too bad about the donuts -- at $125 per pair, that's $750 a dozen!

What did you use to air the tires back up?

Some of the properties on OBX.
