beam pattern for hids with 99 headlight upgrade

I was just wondering what those with the 99 headlight upgrade and hid's beam pattern was like?
I recently installed both and my light output totally sucks! I am not sure if it is due to the headlight being non-oem or if the hid kit is crappy? Can the headlight affect the beam pattern of the the headlight or can the hid kit just product a terrible beam pattern? Any suggestions?
P.S. If anyone has pics of their patterns, please post so I can compare.

the way the headlight housing is cut, aimed, and designed will effect the beam pattern, the actual bulb will effect the color and brightness of light output.

HIDs however can cause glare when looking at them and make it appear the light is "overflowing" out of the housing but the beam should stay the same. It will be brighter and thus will light up areas that were lit up before but not so visible due to the brightness of stock bulbs.


this is my beam pattern when i first installed the new housings and the HIDs the lights are now even but the beam pattern is still the same. Also the color is off due to the camera trying to adjust.
