Bear with me - newb drive belt question

As I'm typing this out, it's sounding more and more like stupid question so bear with me

I replaced my drive belts a few months back--alternator, ac, and power steering.

Sometimes when it rains, or when I wash my 4runner, I'll start it back up and it will squeal, and I'll loose power steering for 2-3 seconds, then the squealing stops and everything is normal.

I'm assuming it is because I need to tighten my power steering belt, but my stupid question is:

Would one of the other belts (alternator/AC) being loose cause this, or is it pretty much for sure the power steering belt? In other words, if for example the alternator belt is slipping, would it cause all the other belts to not spin?

Tighten that belt up. It might have felt fine when you first put it on but belts stretch - they are supposed to.

It's pretty common to tighten up new belts after running the engine a few heat cycles.

Belts are independent from each other. If the crank is spinning, so are the other belts. If one slips, its impossible for it to CAUSE the others to slip, though they could be slipping by coincidence. Get 'em tightened up, like crimson said, its common to have to tighten them up after a bit.
