Beast Returns without Color Grille

Picking up the SE tomorrow after the gouge is fixed. Dealer said they could not get the color keyed grille for the SE. I said of course you can. They said they would have to change out the whole hood as the SE has a special grille. I said, OK I will bring in some pics to show how wrong you are. I like this dealership. I guess they just don't know.....that is ODD. Anyway I am happy to be picking it up what with the first snow falling in the Sierras!

Ha! What a buch of noobs. Nothing different about the hood between an SE or a SR5/Limited except the molded in scoop in the middle. The grille/hinge mounts are identical otherwise. They just didnt want to order a part that's not specifically listed for your VIN it sounds like. Or the parts guy or service writer has anal/cranial inversion.

Well look at it this way, you'll have a brand new spankin chrome grille to put on eBay when you go get your color matched one lol.

Repair looks great, alaskaman! No one could even tell it was damaged there. The only thing left to do is pick a more remote and safer parking spot away from those damn forklifts.
