Has anybody installed this A/V Input harness in a 5th gen 4runner yet?

It claims to activate the video input option on the OEM screen and you can plug in any a/v device.

They also have a bypass device on their website that would allow you to watch video without being in park with the emergency brake engaged.

I got Beat Sonic DVD by pass modular for my Lexus, but haven't installed it yet. I know other people who have this install and it works flawless. Also if you gage enough interest they might facilitate the group buy, that how I got mine over the club Lexus forum. They have a very good reputation there and easy to work with.

Zombie thread.

Anyone know if this set up still let's you play music while mirroring a smart phone for navigation?

I got in touch with the company and you can not mirror and use the stock radio functions. Basically you use your phone to replace the stock head unit. For the price, I will pass. It's a good chunk of change that can go to a new head unit in the future.

are you all really that eager to watch video on an 800x480, low contrast, low brightness, poor color gamut screen?

put the cost of this towards a tablet and tablet mount

edit: just noticed the dates, so yeah i guess most are not that eager to watch video on a shitty screen

Porn is porn on whatever device plus the sound would be better

I use the Crux AVITY01 kit. The part about this kit that I like better is that the nanny function can be killed with the steering wheel switch instead of an added switch. I bought mine of Ebay for real cheap. You can find it on Amazon for about $120.
