Been busy....

I'll try to get some soon. It's just like the BruceTS rear bumper... I just slightly modified the way it is mounted.

Did you build it yourself or have it built?

BTW, take some shots of how it mounts too.

Good luck getting it cleaned up in the new few days...rain is in our forecast tues and wed.

I welded it together. I got in touch with Bruce and had him bend and shape the sides for me, for a price. He packaged them up and shipped them to me. I then followed "most" of his instructions on his site but made a few more braces and such, since I have the 2" bodylift. I still need to add the trailer hitch and rear shackle hangers. Also need to finish up welding the inside, adding the weather stripping, and finish painting it. I'm headed down to see Brian at WabFab to get some sliders welded up and get my ARB mounts modified. And ain't that just great, it finally gets nice enough to work outside and it rains... Awesome.

Kewl to see Bruce build you the pieces and you put them together. Hadn't thought about building a bumper that way.

Brian's a good guy. I always seem to learn something new everytime I pay him a visit. lol

BTW, have you regeared yet? Can't remember if you've done that yet or not...

I was the first one he has shipped peices to. Awesome fabwork on the sides!

Yeah, I'm excited to get the sliders on and the bumper fixed. I've gotten a few parts from Brian and asked him a thousand questions. Good guy for sure.

Not yet. It's next on the list. 4.88's

Spring Fling at Gray Rock March 19th-21st. You going out for that one?

Looks good. I tried getting BruceTS to answer email after email about having him build me a bumper and never got a reply. That is when I just made my own. Looks real good though and love seeing any kind of mods going on our trucks. I also like the black painted rocker panels and have thought about doing that myself.

Here's a side view showing the departure angle at the corners, And a nice shot of my new wheel/tire combo! Dirty, dirty, dirty...

Another shot... I'll try and get some day time pics up before too long... I work crazy hours so just bear with me...

The exhaust will be re-done soon, and won't be dangling out from under the truck any longer...

does he offer any other options? hitch reciever? tire carrier?
it'd be about time for a major company to start making rear bumpers for us///

dude that is sick!!!

Now you gotta make a trip out here to wheel that thing! Great work chris!

No doubt man. I gotta regear or else the gas would kill me getting out there. But a trip is in the works.

That's a great question........ for Bruce. I asked him and offered to pay him for his time and shipping. He is a guy just like we are with a job and family and does this stuff on the side. Shoot him an email and ask. That's all I did. Shipping would be high to you LINY, he's in Colorado I think...

Dude that is so sick! I'm liking how the paint on your rocker panel flows flush with your bumper! It turned out great

Do you want another plastic bumper cover, i got 1 sitting in good condition if ya want it.

John - I may take you up on that. I wasn't planning on using the stock piece, then I cahngfed my mind and it wasn't looking right so I cut it and made it look re****ed:bash:. I'll let you know.

He's in California. I'd have gone to him if he was in CO!

Yeah, California.

I'm getting the rockers redone soon too. Semi-Gloss to really match the bumpers.

not sure if you remember me, it's been years since i was able to get on. i just recently got my password and stuff reset.

your 4Runner sure has changed a lot since the last time i saw it. and definitely for the better. mine hasn't changed much except for takin my running boards off. my money has been needed elsewhere. but yeah, just wanted to tell you it looks epic man.

Bumper looks great. Did a good job on the welds. I've always like Bruce's bumpers.

Tell Wabbit I said hello when you make it down there.

Let me know when you're about to regear or after you've regeared. I'm debating doing it myself. I keep thinking 285/75s in my future...and if so, I'm still on the fence about 4.56s or 4.88s. I like driving 75mph+ and I don't want super high revs after the regear. I'd like them to stay where they're at right now if possible.

I'm not going to make the Gray Rock event...I'll be out of town that weekend. :( You?

BTW, is it just me or do you need these: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/class...2-4runner-cargo-area-hi-lift-jack-mounts.html :D

Wabbit made some modifications to my ARB and he said that it was a night and day difference to the mods they made to your TJM. Although were not near as intensive! I'll be sure to hit you up when I get around to regearing. It'll probably be a little while, the 35's made a pretty good dent in the bank account! Have you read up on the SE4RJ this year? Brian said it's in Tennessee, are you planning on going? I think it's in November...

Just got it outta the shop! New sliders, got the ARB fitted, and a sweet Slider Adapter from WABFAB Offroad!
