I love enthusiast forums. You can always count on them having the information you need, and this one is no different. I used to have a 2011 Toyota x-runner, but had to let that go because it wasn't conducive to car seats. Three months later the wife and I decided to get a second vehicle that was more substantial than a civic. Saw an 06 v8 limited AWD with 155k and records for every service from the same Toyota dealer since the day it was purchased. I used your forum to score inside knowledge to look out for when I went to the dealer. I would give the truck a 9.9 if it didn't have as many scratches, broken door actuator, missing back seat headrests, and a leaking CV boot. The test drive was comprehensive, I made sure everything worked, and I do mean everything. I even ensured the leaking cv boot wasn't hiding a destroyed cv joint by putting her through her paces.
I was able to score it for 15k OTD, which in Cali isn't too shabby. The only thing I want to do to it now is install a new radio with back up camera and blue tooth.
If anyone can point me in the direction of cheap sources for:
Door remote
All back seat head rests
Factory floor mats
Door actuator
