nice!!!! i am a HUGE beer nut and avid ber trader. i spend over $10k a year on beer trading usually, trying to get it a bit more under control here, lol! ive got a ton of stuff in my house, my fridge, my storage unit, etc. about 30 cases or worth of beer in my cellar at any time. I am very lucky and have established trading relationships with several brewers, most notably Mikkel of Mikkeller. :zoom:

some of my most recent highlights have been CBS, Pappy 23 dark Lord, Buddha Nuvo, Whiskey Hunahpu's, and many more. I recently attened a private dinner with Shaun Hill, of Hill Farmstead in Vermont, and really enjoyed his citrus stout collaboration with Mikkeller, Daybreak. Also he brought his unreleased bourbon barrel imperial porter, Birth of tragedy. And many others of course, but those were my favorites since i hadn't tried them yet.

that reminds me, i gotta stick some stuff in the fridge! ill post soon on tonights lineup


also, anyone else here want to trade??? anyone in the bay area wanna come and have a tasting??? ive got soooo much stuff, so im always looking for occasions to crack special beers from the cellar. :hatsoff:

first up is Evil Twin Katz Pis IPA.

just tossed a Rumpkin in the fridge for a nightcapper as well. This is an awesome beer, a 16% Goslings Rum Barrel aged pumpkin barleywine!!! yummy!

might fill in the middle with a widmer oryelly ipa, pretty decent. had thier new lemongrass wheat the other day and liked it more than i expected.

i also have a 1.5 year old growler of old tunguska stout in my fridge, the last one i cracked was honestly as good as expedition!!! :jaw drop:

haha, hop head huh? i get a trashcan full every two to three days, so nothing to see there, lol! i have one of the fresh hop mirror ponds, might crack it next actually! how is it? i drink a lot of pliny and other hoppy stuff. been drinking a lot of zombie dust lately, that stuff is the ****.

last night me and my girl had cigar city big sound scotch ale and then the rum barrel aged version. not as good as the first batch they put out back in 09, and the rum barrel tasted like it had a very slight infection starting to come in, which i had heard. the rum barrel is supposedly clean.

i had surly five the other night, it was actually pretty good considering it was basically their first sour.

The Fresh Hop MP was...disappointing. I think I prefer a fresh keg of the regular. The Northern Hemisphere is really good and will do until I make it back to Cali.
My taste buds have been blasted by Kern River (my favorite) and Russian River lately. I need to lay off the hop for awhile.
I'd like to try the Surly, have you had the New Belgium Foeder 3?

JUST turned 21, on the 3rd. Got a lot of beer in the fridge! No room for much else actually. And all of it free! Good friends and the stores/breweries around here give away stuff like crazy!

last night was jc flyer ipa, smashed pumpkin and drakes jolly rodger 2011.
