before/after pics with daystar leveling kit

AJC- Did you put the leveling kit on yourself? I have an 08 urban runner in Denver and Id also like to add the same kit. Any recommendations?

I had this guy put the kit on for me. It was around $250.

I'm having the same kit installed on my truck on Wednesday. The guy here is charging me 257 for install and the front end alignment. Having 265-70-17 Toyo Open Country A/T's install too!

Anyone else care to post before and after pictures in this thread? I know there is a dedicated post your T4R thread, but I am really interested in some more pics here. Also, if anyone could share your measurements I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey here is a similar install on the 4th generation with measurements included. They do a 2 inch front lift in order to level. Credit to Velocity Off-Road and truckgeartv.com for the video. They use a different spacer (made of metal), but all of the work to get to actually installing the spacer is the same.

Two thumbs up for the video!! The video states the Velocity FRONT leveling kit is a 3 inch spacer made of T6 aluminum. So the stock measurements on their 06 4runner were 21 3/4 inch rear and 18 3/4 inch front. Amazingly their 3 inch front spacer made an even 21 3/4 inch all the way around. This is totally even with no rake at all.

How do you guys feel about having no rake (front end drop) at all for weight transfer? Im not totally familiar with the front to rear specs but the factory sets the front 3 inches low for a reason amirite?

Would it be more effective to do a REAR/FRONT spacer so that you still get 1-2 inches of "rake". What are the negative effects of having no or little rake? MPG, aerodynamics, weight transfer, etc..

Great video. I'm about to do the Daystart 1-inch level, and I noticed the video says they were concerned about the XREAS, but a call to Velocity said they would reset the system during alignment.

Is there a way to reset the XREAS? Do I need to do this after the 1-inch leveling install?

My service manual (page 25-18 and 25-19) makes it look completely mechanical.

Anyone know?
