Behind the grille LED bar mount options

Anyone ever bolted LED bar mounts to the aluminum cross in front of the radiator before? I did several searches, but please feel free to haze if I totally missed it.
The mounts would have to be bolted to the front of the cross member and holding the light horizontally, which makes me a little nervous, but it would save drilling into the top of the front bumper. It’s a 10” double row light bar that I really want to get behind the grille.

What’s wrong with the normal behind the grille light bar location everyone else uses? And shops already make a bracket for

I mounted mine there. It's a 12 inch bar, though. I would've figured something differently had I gone bigger, but since I was installing cob led headlights, I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm happy with the results. I'm out and about right now, but I'll post a pic or 2 when I get home.

I had my bars installed stealth behind lower grille and under hood scoop. Can take pictures for you tomorrow if you're interested in lower grille area
