Best 4R HID Upgrade

The majority on here have gone the same route as me, which is XenonDepot.com. You can click the link in my signature for pictures of the HID kit. I went with the 4300K which is pure white, and some have chosen the 5000K which has a blue tint to it. Haven't had any problems with mine at all.
Also, XenonDepot monitors this forum so you will probably get a reply from them if you have any extra questions.

I've ordrered the 4300K H11 kit from xenondepot. Hopefully my shipping/delivery experience will be better than someof those I'vw read about. I'd like to give them a good thumbs up if they've actually gotten better. Will do full before/after pics. Maybe even some detailed install pics.

I recently ordered the 4300K H11 kit from XenonDepot and it took less than a week to get here from Canada to Georgia. I actually had it before I purchased the 4Runner.
Installed the kit the day I bought the vehicle and it works as advertised. It's an easy install, just take your time with the routing of the wiring to make it a clean installation. There is loads of room on either side for the parts. I'd recommend you screw in the ballasts and not just rely on the double-stick tape they provide. The tape will help with vibration since it's thick, but I just didn't trust it to hold.
All of the parts seem to be of very good quality, I'm pleased with the product.

i got those 55watt 5000k hid kit, its more brighter than any other kit kuss itss more power and pure white, also it only takes 2-3 days to get after u order, and lifetime warranty support, best kits i got from todd strong.

I had a Honda S2000 projector retrofitted into my Urban Runner headlamp assemblies, and the finished product is Very Impressive.
Like I said, if you have the cash, it's worth thinking about!

archangel37, if that is a retrofit why are there those squirrel finders above the cutoff.
I got the 55 watt kit and a kit for my foglamps at retro solutions, and it looks great. It has a cleaner cutoff line than that retrofit, but isnt as bright (I got 6000k for both.) Retrofitting is alot more money and is a little better, brighter, and the components are better quality. But if you got an 06 with projectors it will look good as long as you tweak the shields in the projectors, there is a great write up on it if you do a search. I will post some pics eventually.

I didn't mean to knock your setup by any means. The 06' projectors/HID Kit are quite good and certainly better than the standard projectors once you tweak the squirrel finders. And they certainly are cost effective!
That said, they don't really compare to a properly done retrofit - sharper cutoff, greater depth, reduced glare, wider path, and generally higher quality components.

Yeah, no worries, I wasnt trying to rag on yours either. Obviously everyone is biased by what their setup is. I got hids for my headlights and foglamps for about $300. From what I have heard retrofitting runs about $600 per headlight. While the cutoff and light output is better, for me it wasnt worth the extra $1000+ for just my headlights. But nice pics, that second one looks real clean.
