What do you all think the best accessory for the 4Runner that is under $100? I'm looking of adding something to my 4Runner but don't want to spend to much money.

I have been looking at some weathertech vent visors as a possibility, what do you all think?

I have the weathertech vent visors on mine, I like them. I think all of the guys on this forum who have purchased them seem to like them.

Also, do you have any pics and possibly a list of things that you have on your truck already? Might help us with ideas.

What program did you use to black out your license plate?
Also where did you buy your vent visors, and how much did u pay if you don't mind me asking?

Anti-theft license plate bolts ~ $5. Keeps your vehicle tags where they should be, on your vehicle. I also have caps covering the bolt heads too. They are similar to torx screws except they have a raised portion in the middle so using a regular allen wrench or torx bit won't work. They come with a special wrench. Available at any auto supply store, english for the front, metric for the rear.

For blacking out the plates, just right click on a picture in your folder and go to "open with" > "Microsoft Paint". After you do that, select the icon on the left that looks like a spray paint can, and color anything you want.

The weathertech vent visors were $94.95 on their Website

Yea, I saw that price on their site, I just didn't know if you got them somewhere else cheaper. Also, I'm on a Mac. so no MS Paint. I'll try and get some pictures though, but I haven't done any mods really or added anything to the exterior, just two t4r.org stickers.

If you have a mac Pro it should come with a program called graphic converter. If you don't have a Pro, you can download a free version of Graphic Converter from the apple website or just google it. Don't be fooled by the free trial or whatever it can do everything you need.

I don't have a Mac Pro, I have a MacBook. I will download that program, and try to get some pics of here. Thanks so much for the information though.

Those are my snowboard racks. -Yakima FatCat6.

I got them because they hold 4 boards, and are more sleek looking than any other rack that I have seen before. They were around $200 but on the day I went looking for them, sport chalet had 20% off of all Yakima products.

Nice, I was just curious i figured they were skiing, snowboarding rack but I wasn't sure. You gotta sweet rig though man.

Thanks man. Appreciate it.

Yeah they hold 6 skis I believe. I had 4 boards on it last weekend and it works great.

Sweet, did you take any pics of the 4Runner in the snow on your snowboarding trip?

Nah, it was just to the locals here in southern cali so there wasn't any snow except on the runs. If we get any storms, or if I ever head up to mammoth, i'll definitely shoot some pics. My goal is to get one with about 1 inch of powder on the entire truck, so that you can still see everything.

Sounds like you had a full truck with 4 people, how long was your snowboarding trip?

Just a day trip to the locals here, only about an hour and 15 minutes away.

For your "Less than $100 mods" have you thought about things other than vent visors? Like All Weather mats, LED lighting in your interior, iForce V8 emblem, or even just putting a tow hitch on for protection from morons in small cars? It'll save your bumper :bigok:

Right now I'm really leaning toward the vent visors. I wouldn't get a V8 emblem because I have a V6 :D. I already have some plastic mats I got at walmart that protect the carpet just fine. I have a to hitch, but I don't leave it on.

You'll like the vent visors, they look good. Do you have any pics of your truck? I don't remember if I have ever seen any of yours.
