Best allround tires for AZ!!!

Hey guys

Just got a 03 4Runner 4x4 this week and looking to get out into the country and explore. Live in Phoenix Arizona area, wanting to get a Cornfed 3/2 lift, what tires would you guys recommend for the terrain. want to keep the stock rim which is the 5 spoke 17"x7.5 if i am not mistaken. also want to try keep the tire price down at the $200 mark..

I off road all over the desert and have never been let down with my BFG all terrains 265/70/17. I air them down to 25 off road to smooth the ride out and run them at 36 on the street. If you run the harder trails you will want the lift. My Daystar lift made a world of difference off road. No more dragging over rocks.

+1 on the BFG AT's; really great tires except for Mud performance, but assuming there's not a whole lot of that to worry about out there. Also, not going to be $200; but think about it this way, you spend the extra money now and I know people that have gotten 100k out of them (make sure to get whatever tire you decide on filled with Nitrogen!)

Exactly what I have. Purchased them from Big-O with replacement warranty at 18,000k and now have 88,000k (free 5 wheel tire rotation every 6,000k). Expect to get at least another 10,000k by Big-O's estimate. Work great in Southern Utah and in the so called "Arizona Strip".
36psi is what my Toyota tech recommended and they are wearing nice and even.

I have Nittos AT and had BFG AT. Both are great on and off road no complaints. Nitto's are a little quieter- great for my mainly highway driving; BFG's are meatier, lasted 4EVER but you heard them.

Have you looked into the Hankook dynapro, i have read a lot of awesome reviews on these tires all over the net, and much cheaper then BFG's I believe. They are what i am going to go with. Either way post some pics when you get that thing lifted

Yea, then obviously it would be a waste of time and money; I was more or less telling Bazza to fill them with Nitrogen since he posted this thread

Thanks guys, I will look at the BFG A/T, dont mind spending the extra money to get something thats going to last me, cause use the vehicle as my daily runner now too. Thanks for the advise on the nitrogen but think i would stick to air so that I can play with tire pressures on the trails, as I am not used to this terrain at all, my trail background is from South Africa till I moved out here roughly 2yrs ago.

i will tell you i had the bfg all terrains they where great i had them on my 06 f150 and put a ton of miles on them mostly city and Phx and they worked great in the desert
