Best brake pad?

EBC Yellowstuff! Well everyone knows EBC makes a great brake product, and why not get their top of the line!
-Right now in my 231's I have the Autozone pads, and they leave something to be desired, so I think I will be going with the YellowStuff pads next

The OEM pads for the 231s; I hate cleaning rims.
If using regular calipers, and want to deviate from OEM, then Akebono or Performance Friction. I don't have the model #s off hand.

I have friends that have used the Hawks and they either love them or used them for skeet shooting targets.
My brother used to have a pair on his GSR Integra and they worked well, but the dust was out of control. He switched to EBC and did not have as much of a dusting issue.

I agree, the hawk pads are crazy dusty. I had some on my old 240sx and it was very dusty. After a wash Id take a drive and have film back on after 10 min of driving. Stopped very well though.

Do you guys with ceramic pads travel in stop and go traffic much? The one time I used ceramic pads, I could feel a significant amount of fade once they heated up, but that was on a different vehicle. I'm in stop and go traffic twice a day, 5 days a week.

I like OEM pads all around, primarily because of the low dust factor, and like LC I hate cleaning my wheels all the time.
Akebono manufactures a large percentage of OEM Toyota pads, btw.
The only performance pads I've run were on my Supra. I ran EBC Greens which were a little dusty, but quiet, and stopped well. Then I tried EBC Reds which stopped even better, were very grabby, and very dusty.
Finally, right before I sold it I tried EBC's cheap stuff, the Ultimaxx... those pads sucked!! Noisy, noisy, noisy. Even after 2 bed in's. I didn't have the car long enough after I installed them to see how much dust they put out.

Update:
I did my brakes. I used Brembo blanks and Hawk Super Duty.
The rotors are great, the pads, not so much. They don't grab for the first few seconds after the brakes are applied. Then they grab awesome. Except on hard stops they don't heat up/grab evenly so the rig pulls (typically to the right).
A hundred miles ago, I switched pads. I changed to BrakeBest Select Ceramic C611 - Brake Pads | O'Reilly Auto Parts . From the first stop on, they are awesome. So much more consistent than the Hawks and better than OE.

I'm in the same boat. I bought Brembos to do the Tundra conversion and the brake lines are on the way but I still need pads. I ordered Hawk PC pads from 2 different places and both said after I ordered that they no longer make them for the tundra. I even contacted Hawk to find out and they suggested the LTS but they aren't ceramic so I'm giving up on Hawk. I was considering the new AdvanceAuto Wearever Platinum ceramic but they are so new I haven't seen any reviews on them. I love how long the OM pads lasted but I wish they were just a little more grabby. I've heard that the green stuff and yellow stuff pads just don't last near as long so I'm not leaning in that direction.
I have it narrowed to Akebono and the AdvanceAuto pads.
More thoughts?

I just put Adaptive One pads from Napa on my rig (just did tundra brakes too). It's alot of changes all at once, so I can't really say the difference due to the pads, but they feel great right now. They are brand new, so no beta on the dusting, but I don't really care about the dusting, black magic wheel cleaner seems to take it off very easily, so it doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Hmm, well, I bought my runner some Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic brake pads.
Reasons:
1) Ceramic = Minimal brake dust(If that!)
2) Minimal brake dust = Cleaner rims
3) Semi-Metallic brake pads suck the testis because they squeel and sound ****ty(Not to mention brake dust)
They do great and don't make a peep! Love 'em.

time for a little thread revival... so its time for new pads, right now im running napa premium pads for the tundra -not sure of the actual name but last dec when i had to put brakes on it i bought the best pads napa had, well they are a wee bit dusty(dont really like) and they have worn out faster than id care for for the performance they have yielded -pun intended. im running EBC slotted and dimpled rotors cause my napa rotors warped so i upgraded to the slotted rotor. im thinking about either the red or yellowstuff pads for the truck, but open to other options looking for more of a performance pad thats gonna give good power and response. its my daily driver, but i do a fair amount of wheeling as well as long road trips -at least once a month i put 7-800 miles on the truck in a weekend most of it on the interstate in oregon -lots of mountain passes/hills. also in the PNW we deal with water a lot, so i want a pad that is gonna perform well in the wet. so yeah any imput here guys? whats everyone say or experiences?
and thanks to those who have already given imput -Akebonos are a consideration if i cant find what i want or what fits my bill as i know them to be good pads all around. one last thing, i hate hate hate brake squeak/squeal so quiet pads are a must.

-1 for the wagners for me...
Granted, I put them on my wife's 07 Highlander, but they are the noisiest pads I've ever heard, and her wheels are filthy! I was taught by my ex-brother-in-law to use anti-seize on the backs of the pads for noise, but either it didn't work, or the pads just suck. And the highlander pads are ceramic.
I've got VutoZone Gold sumpin-or-others on my 02 4Runner, and they are a little dusty, but stop well for stock brakes.

Weird. I still have no complaints, no noise or excessive dust that I can see. Maybe you got a bad set or something?
