Best Brush Bar For Protection?

Greetings!

I know this has probably been discussed but I'm a newbie with a somewhat unusual request.javascript:smilie('')

My wife and I plan to spend 4 months this winter driving around Mexico in our '05 Limited. Having spent quite some time down there, I know what a beating vehicles can take...parking by sound? Also there is the ever present menace of animals coming unto the road.

I realize that I'm not going to get something that will save me from a collision with a steer but I was wondering what others have found to be the most effective. In this case, looks are not that important but I hope to bring the vehicle home with some bumpers & lights leftjavascript:smilie(':biggrin2:')

Any advice or experiences greatly welcomed!

None is the best since a minor collision on one side let's say,will push the whole bar back into the frontend and do more damage than without. I've seen many pics of this type of damage. Buy a real bumper if you want true protection and it'll even handle small animal hits.

My stepson who it a Toyota body/paint guy told me the same thing. Still would'nt mind having one with some nice off road light's hanging off of it.

Also do a search for "WAAG" someone on here just put front & rear bumper guard's on , I think it was a black runner. by doing some searches here you find some good pics too.
