Best Buy Radio Installation

I thought you guys would get a chuckle out of the rates BB quoted me today for the App Radio 3 or any other double din/gps radio. Total labor was approximately $600. They charged $100 simply to install the steering wheel controls - the part was another $90! Backup camera was obviously extra.

But I did leave the store being pretty impressed with the APP 3 and other pioneer radios. I just won't be buying them there.

I don't know if you have a PC Richard & Son near you but the one near me does free installation on all stereos and alarm systems.

Pioneer App 3

I was in a custom stereo shop today. They told me that the system doesn't work as well as advertised with the iPhone 5. It seems pretty slow operating and the map system doesn't work with the iPhone 5.

Has anyone else had positive experiences with the App 3 from Pioneer?

I bought my stereo 3 years ago and at the time it was $12 more than what amazon wanted for the same stereo so I can only speak for that. I'm not trying to make a sale for PC Richard & Son or anything, just trying to help the OP out who was inquiring about installation costs.
