Best darn DEGREASER ever!

I have been using a really good degreaser for a few years now and thought I would share it. This stuff will take the spots off a leopard!

It's called "SuperClean" and I buy it by the 4 gallon jug at Walmart in the automotive center.

I have used things like Simple Green and Greased Lightning but NOTHING compares to this stuff! You can dilute it down but I use it full strength in a spray bottle.

Anyone else use this stuff?

Yeah, I think it's also called Purple Power or some such. Don't get that stuff
on your hands.

It is purple but not the same as Purple Power. I have used the Purple Power and it does a good job but in my opinion, not as good as SuperClean.

If I can convince an 82 year old woman (Grandmaw) that it is the best cleaner there is, that's saying something! LOL! She can't live without it.

full strength dawn dish washing liquid in a spray bottle... little cheap brush and the garden hose in the driveway and I can make pretty much anything look brand new.

give it a try you will be surprised how well it works. I keep my eye open and usually can pickup a 90 oz jug of it for $5-$7

I use Optimum Power Clean. I dilute it and use in the engine bay and wheel wells.

Is it 'safe' like Simple Green? That stuff is fine for washing hands, showering with after a really greasy day of car work, etc.
Totally safe for skin contact, at least in my experience. It even only says to rinse with water if gotten in your eyes. No contact your doctor or poison hotline, No big deal.

Super clean works fantastic! Just don't breathe the stuff!

Zep orange degreaser works just as good, but doesn't have the weird smell that super clean and purple power have. It's stocked at my local Walmart and Lowe's.

I use 1/4 quart for each oil change.

But yeah, Super Clean is great. Been in my garage since I was a kid and it had the Castrol logo attached to it with commercials on TNN.

Simple green is good.

+1 for Simple Green as well, plus it is biodegradable. Dawn would be a close second until I started using Meyers Dish Liquid. Supposed to be organic and it works much better than Dawn!

Haven't used Superclean for years, but have found others to be basically the same thing.

While Simple Green may be biodegradable, the oil/grease it removes isn't, regardless of the cleaner used.

will have to try it. I've been using the SuperTech foaming degreaser for just everyday cleaning (it seems to be much nicer on things than tuffstuff) and Gunk for anything that really needed a little extra boost.

this is a hazardous cleaner and corrosive . requires eye and breathing protection not a safe cleaner .

simple green is safe just don't squirt in the eyes..

I simple green in the house most all the time cleaning up the stove and the stove venting metal .. no damage or any irritations..

on my vehicle I clean up grease oil messes with low odor mineral spirits...safe on rubber/plastic/paint / seals etc..

Might have to look into this...I've been looking for a commercial degreaser to degrease the underside of my engine. Its disgusting under there and hoping to have a clean engine after all the maintenance I've done to it.

I've used the others mentioned here and I'd like to suggest LA's Totally Awesome from the dollar store. It's cheap and works well. I use the full strength stuff. I don't think it's toxic and it cuts grease fairly well. I use almost exclusively this and simple green

AWESOME from the dollar store, is all I use / cleans up greasy engine components & dirty under-hood plastic perfectly.
- I learned this Tip, from a used car lot detailer
- also works real good, on alloy rims / to remove brake dust easily
