I was able to fold mine down just fine. I keep a set of jumper cables under there.

For rear storage I originally had a large locking box that fit well and was secure, but bothered me due to noise and overall functionality for my needs.
Recently tried something a little outside the "box" and ordered two Ikea SKUBB boxes (36 ½x21 ¾x7 ½) for like $20. One fits decent in the standard configuration but two side by side sit extremely well. On my last camping trip I filled them both with my clothes and blankets etc. Very easy to use and transport to/from the truck when needed.

2 frontrunner wolfpack boxes fit perfectly side by side. They also stack. Had 4 at one point.

Kind of hard to explain. I bought several 24"x2" sections of weight rated, tie down loops or assists (basically seat belt like material). Those were looped around the D ring in the back. threaded up through the weight rated, tie down loops/assists (orange straps in pics) & biners on the wolfpack boxes on both sides, clipped together with weight rated biners, and connected to the other d ring the same way.
There is also a weight rated safari straps cargo net covering the entire back area that's also hooked down to the D rings in each corner.
Edit: you cannot see the straps in the pic, as it was taken just after setting them in there. On the first pic you can see one of the straps on the left side of the pic. Those go through the straps on the boxes, up over the top of them, and down to the other D ring.

The rear storage compartments are really weird. I did buy a mid sized Orca molle first aid bag. It has a tear away velcro backing and strap - so I attached that to the outside of the rear storage area. Easy access when needed, doesnt roll around, and lets me use the storage compartments for whatever the hell is supposed to go there. [emoji848]

For those asking about the under seat areas and folding the seats:
Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, on the driver side I sometimes have a 10.5" AR under there (barrel sticks under the adjacent seat). That seat will fold no issue.
On the other side, I used to have a poncho liner blanket in a stuff sack before the baby seat got installed. The stuff sack could compress enough to latch the seats closed, but when trying to fold the seats it would cause the seat back to stick up a few inches, so I always removed it before laying the seats down.
I think its something you'll have to experiment with honestly.

I saw Blue Ridge Overland stick a pouch here on a video and thought it looked like a good idea. Not sure what I will use it for exactly at the moment, but it fits well.

The 2 pouches I bought for the back seats - mostly just to see which fit better were the large and medium window pouches. The Large has plenty of space and I probably would have just got 2 had I known how well it would fit. I filled them with rags and a random box to see how well they would fit and to make sure the seats would function/latch/fold without issues. Didn't pack them to where the seams were bursting, but I filled them to their comfortable capacity. Seat latches without issues and backs fold down without a problem (as flat as they'll go).
Decided to use the large to house my survival kit items and don't know what I will put in the medium yet.
digicam pouch is a square cook kit with handle and lid. Stuffed with a bunch of various tools, blade, fire starting, etc. Green is shelter - painters drop cloth, paracord, duct tape, few tent stakes. Orange is a SOL suvival bivy, blaze orange bandanna, and signal mirror.
this was just the test gear to stuff the pouches and test fit them
Looking under the seat. I could have gone with black but I didn't want them to be hard to see if it was night or in bad lighting. Wanted some contrast. Black on black doesn't stand out at all. From the outside of the truck looking in, you cannot see them.
Also this the Swiss canteen & cup I mentioned earlier fitting like a glove in the rear door compartments with a 1 liter water bottle.

If it were anyone besides the infamous Antman, who brought us the rear bumper cup holder, I'd point out the whole idea of this thread is to consolidate your best ideas. But in this case, I'll return to your build thread just because it's so damn fun.

That's funny you say that. I always keep an AR in my rig. I have a 10.25" "Pistol AR" that I put together just for this reason. (Too much worry travelling with suppressed SBR)
When test driving 4R's over the last few weeks I wasn't sure where everything was going to go. Coming from a crew cab truck with all sorts of bins and storage I knew it was going to be difficult. One of my biggest concerns was where to put an AR.
Last night I had to run up to one of our other properties and grabbed one of my AR's and just laid it on the seat and again wondered how I was going to find a perm fix.
Looks like I've got a direction to go with it now.

So I have a bit of a unique setup. I have the 3rd row and I mostly keep the back seats down for the dogs. The unfortunate part is that the back seats fold down differently from the standard seats. This means I have a pretty big gap between my back seat and the folded seats. And sometimes the dogs could fall into the gap. So I bought this Kurgo cover which basically provides a top cover and no more gap. The cool part is that I get a storage area directly underneath and it's completely covered so you can't see what I'm hiding underneath
