best intake?

i'm looking to put a cold air intake on my 04 SR5. I've heard a lot of talk about volant. what would you guys say is the best one out there?

Well if you're going to go with a CAI setup, most people will say that the TRD is the best one. Search up on this subject and most will say that this works best.

Have K&N Filter Charger - kind of HO-HUM about it. Makes right side of engine look like a piece is missing. Currently cutting piece of aluminum diamon plate to fill void. Very easy to install - like 15 minutes. Can't tell any difference in noise, performance or MPG. Filtration fine on normal roads - I sould not use in desert or high dust conditions (although they say its fine to do so). d

You talking about the drop-in filter or the FIPK kit? If you have the open air FIPK kit, you can always get the prefilter sock to wrap around the filter to improve offroad condition filtering abilities.

Mine is actually called the "K&N AirCharger" --- its not the drop in. Think they call the sock a Pre-Charger (arrrrrg.....). They make for both V6 and V8 - claim 9+HP and 12+HP.
