if ur looking for an inexpensive way to solve the saggy rear end , u can use air bags. I installed a set in my 95 t4r and there not too expensive. works really good.

I just put some 1.5 coil spring on the back of mine from All Pro Off Road for 150.00 and they are great ride is still good also.

No More Sagging!!!!

Bought the Moog replacement rear coils (part # cc255)from www.autopartsgiant.com for 68.55 shipped. Installed in under 2 hours. All I needed was a floor jack, basic metric socket set, and rented a coil compresser from auto zone. EASY!!!!! and cheap. Now I can see over the hood, and the springs are.............springy!!!! It's amazing how much of a difference the ride is. I like it.

The hardest part was waiting for them to get the coils in stock. I had to check back several times.

Careful though. Spacer blocks that fit between the coils will change the actual spring rate because they eliminate an active coil, and the spring rate increases as you eliminate coils.

Use a spacer that fits between the spring perch and end of spring. Something more like this http://tinyurl.com/lm5em

Well, I ordered the Moog CC255 springs from AutoPartsGiant. They waited two weeks, then told me that they were out of stock and my order was cancelled. Thanks for the fast service!

Now I've ordered them from Rock Auto. Hopefully I'll get these one day.

EDIT: Placed on-line order with Rock Auto this morning, got a tracking number this afternoon.

Funny, I placed an order with AutoPartsGiant.com about a week and half ago...just got the e-mail this afternoon saying that my order was cancelled due to item being out of stock--Don't know if I would recommend them as I have been waiting paitently for a little while (they should have e-mailed/called within 24-hrs saying the item was out of stock...in my opinion). Anyway, I will be placing an order with Rock Auto tonight, maybe then I can get the rear end back up to normal heights.

I just registered and this is my first Post.

I've been scowering the web for a cost effective lift that just levels the truck and not have to crank the torsion bars, BJ spacers etc..

Just a simple leveling.

So I'm excited to here how it goes and hope guys post some before/after pics of how the moog spings do in the rear. This seems like the solution for me.

Oops.. One more thing I wanted to add, after a little web searching trying to find a supplier in Canada (No luck yet). Found some specs on the Moog CC255. Anyone now how they compare to stock or to Downey's OME etc..?

Well, just had the springs installed today (cost $85 for installation--not too bad to save me the grief). I tell you, I am glad I installed the Moog springs. The 4runner sits level now and it is a different ride then I am used to...not so mushy, but actually feels tight-hard to explain.

Unfortunately, I did not measure the distance between tire/fender before installation....However, I would definately recommend them!

Has anyone found a canadian source for Old Man Emu shocks and springs? They have rear variable rate coil springs that will fix the sag plus they have shocks that are designed to go with them.
