best lift to pair with 265/70/17?

my weekly cry out for suspension and tire advice..

I'm quite torn.. as I need new tires in the near future.. i want to size up.. I've done a ton of research and Ive decided on the 265/70/17 Ko2 tires.. I currently have stock size tires but 1.5 inch wheel spacers..

what is the best set up with in reason for this size tire.. I was looking at the coil over lines (fox, icon, boss) and lift springs in the back.. is this over kill, or would i be able to get away with not maxing out the coil over in the front and still be able to keep my stock UCA's, and not look like I have tiny tires?

Well if you don't really off-road, you could go with a cornfed 2/1 which I think is a good match for those tires

I have 265/70/17 BFG TA KO

I did FJ springs and bilstein set at 1.75 and a 1.5 spacer in rear. Looks pretty good. Might go to 2.5 on the bilsteins but other than that its good.

So 2.5 in the front and 2 in the back you can still rock 265/70/17s and look right?

I would go with the Bilstein 5100's at 1.75 with the DS 1.5 rear spacer. That is an inexpensive lift and it also looks great with the 265/70/17 tires.

I just put that size of KO2's on my 04' and the previous owner installed Daystar spacers - with X-REAS - no rubbing, no issues at all. Pic in sig shows same size but NITTO's.

EDIT - my setup is close to the setup mentioned - fairly level - I don't have the Bilsteins though.

/\ perfect right there.

I have 2.5/1.5 Daystar spacers. I think this is a great lift range for that tire size and you don't really run into much rubbing issues etc.

I don't have any on this computer but if you look at a sticky here in the 4th Gen Forum called Compiled FJ Springs Lift there are plenty of pics with the Bilstein 5100's and FJ springs.

I was able to run Nitto Terra Grappler G2's in 265/70/17 with stock set-up, no trimming. I did remove my mud flaps.

I run Bilstein @ 2.5, with FJ springs and a 1.5" spacer in the rear. 265 70 fit perfect. Could definitely go a little bigger though...

Hey, can you give the measurement from the center of your rear hub to the bottom of the fender?

I think a 0/0 lift would look the best with that size. Makes the tires look the biggest. Same amount of trimming if you wheel it.

I have to agree with Inv4drZm, I just put 265/70/17 KO2's and I really like the stock height.

I myself am going with Dobinson stock height springs and Bil 5100's..
