Best option for yellow fog lights?

I'm thinking I want some yellow fog lights and not sure what option to go with? Yellow bulbs? Yellow lenses? HIDs? Anyone have some good insight on this?

Don't use the krylon stain glass spray cuz you will need bulbs too. The yellow films work and you can go back to stock later. I would say if your gonna buy a lower end yellow halogen you might as well use the film. I have the 3k hid kit and I wouldn't use it with people around it flashes everyone.

I have a 3k HID fog light kit and love it. I wouldn't get a 55w one as you don't want to blind. Think mine is 25w which sheds plenty of light but isn't super blinding. I may switch it out at some point for a 35w to get a yellower look. (Mine look slightly greenish, more power should bring out the yellow)

PIAA makes a nice halogen yellow bulb, if you didn't want to go the hid route.

tons of options. i went with yellow winjet fogs off of ebay. most the tint i see is to light of a color for me. you can also paint then with metalcast yellow paint then clear coat over that. yellow bulbs you see out there dont last but a few months and then they burn out

I just bought yellow 3M film on eBay and it's been doing great for the last 2 years. Very happy with it.

I got some crappy yellow film off of Amazon for $2 and some change. It was a little difficult to put on (I'm sure name brand would be easier to work with) but all said and done it looks great for really cheap and if I ever don't like it or it gets chipped up/damaged, just peel it off and done!

I would avoid HID. Having brighter light directly in front of your vehicle causes your eyes to adjust and reduces your distance vision down the road.

Meder24, I'm not saying you are wrong but, I have to disagree with this based off of my experience and setup. This may be the case depending on the person,vehicle, and if you are running a "brighter" lumen or temperature color, I can't speak for that. However, I have 3k HID and yellow film. I am very happy with this setup. I also have HID 5k healdlights. I do not feel that they inhibit my sight or my ability to adjust my vision. Actually, I feel that the color the fog lights produce helps with contrast and blends nicely with the headlight giving me a very clear view directly ahead of me and farther down the road as well.

Everyone is different, so I am by no means saying I am 100% right either. That is the beauty of the forums as you can get so many different view points to help make a decision.

Just the yellow HID, 03-05 has the clear turn signal and I thought it'd look tacky to have a yellow tint next to the clear lens. As others have said, HIDs have the potential to be too bright, I wouldn't exceed 35w (mine are 25w)

I'll try and grab a picture of just the foglight output at some point

Looks sweet! Which HID kit did you go with? Any trouble getting them to fit? I measured, and there is 66mm of depth in the housing. That should be plenty long enough, I figure.

You are fine of space and fitment.

I don't remember the brand. It's a cheap-o kit I got from amazon for around $60. You get what you pay for. While the light quality has been good, one of my ballasts or igniter is failing on my one light. The switch needs to be flicked a second time to get it to come on 4/10 times. I'll probably swap them out for something else soon. I am thinking about investing in a nice set of LEDs.

That's style worth noting. I'm trying to do the same since we dont have the single, circular fogs
