Best pet guard for 2003 4Runner?

Hello,

Does anyone know of a great pet guard for the trunk area of a 2003 4Runner? I'm talking about something that would keep my husky dog from jumping into the back seat. I have a metal cage-type one right now, but I hate it as it always falls down. I would prefer to have a net or something like that.

Any help is appreciated.

How much did you pay for the pet guard if you don't mind me asking? Is it hard to set up in the truck? Do you leave your rear window down when you take your dog out? Sorry for all the questions. I just want to know before I let my 100 pound Golden Retriever back there. Thanks!

I have the Toyota Japan mesh barrier which attaches to the rod system. Both products are listed at this link. I never installed it and they are OEM Toyota parts. They are expensive compared to the other options but let me know if you are interested.

i just raise the back headrests when my dogs are back there....works for mine....i have 2 dobermans - one is 115 lbs and the other is 90 lbs...(with bigger dogs they wouldnt fit over the seat with those headrests up, so may not work for everyone).

yes 115 lbs...its a female too....ive rarely seen males dobes close to her size....but the other one is smaller and the headrests all the way up stops her from jumping over...

nope theyll go in the water, but arent swimmers...i wish i would have exposed them more to it as pups!

It is a breaze to put in and take out. I usually leave the window cracked 4-6 inches while she's back there.

The link is outdated but i found it no problem on petco's site. One question, how does this secure in the vehicle?
