Best Place to Jack 4runner?

got a new jack for Christmas as the factory one is a pain in the butt to use. anybody know where the best place to jack your 4runner is? with my running boards off i'm not sure where your exactly supposed to do it.

Those boards couldn't hold up a Chevy Aveo. The main jack points are the cross bars that go under the transmission, and the rear axle.

I wouldn't suggest the a arms. They're not made to be used as a jacking point.

I actually like the OEM jack in my truck. A small version of a house jack.

Having just changed one rear tire on my 1999, I know the manual states to use the rear axle.

The lack of a flat spot on the axle is, in my opinion, a bit scary if the truck or jack moves.

If you don't have an owner's manual, I suggest you get one.

I notice you have a limited, which comes stock with the running boards. Did yout ake them off wtih the intent to install nerf bars? I was thinking of the same. How much trouble to take them off?

Not hard at all, 6 bolts on each side. Hit em all up with a little WD-40, let it sit for a few minutes, and you're good to go.
