Best power source for new lights

I just got my new PIAA 520 ATP lights and was curious to know what was the best way to get power? I'd like these to be connected so that the lights have power when the truck is turned on only.

thanks

Get a relay, wire it to parking or headlights and draw power from the battery. broad explanation, assuming you electric-wire savy person.

Well first I tried to tie into the modification of my fog light by attaching the switch power to the wire I connected from the fog light relay. I first attached the wrong power wires to the toyota switch I got off of ebay and blew the fog light relay. I knew that was part of the problem cause I switch the relay for the fog light to one of the others in the fuse box.
I then just connected the power wires for the switch to the battery and got my new PIAA lights to work...BUT...

Then I realized I blew more out than just the fog ligth relay...my turn signals and AC / heater assembly didn't work now. The clock display worked...but the fan, heater and AC would not work.

Went to the Toyota dealer this morning to get a new relay (70 bucks) and left my 4runner there for them to try and find the problem with the turn signal and heater. I was hoping it was another relay or fuse hidden away somewhere. But after an hour the tech was still trying to figure the problem out. He had my ENTIRE dash board and radio completely disasembled...pretty dis-heartning actually. I have a feeling this is going to be a big $$$ "f-up" on my part.

Will post the result Mon or Tuesday...I hope.

Well...got my truck back from the dealer...ended up being an Ignition fuse (thought I checked that)...minimal financial damage. Did all the fog light mods with no problems...thanks to all for your suggestions.

Added the PIAA 520 ATP lights - floating mounts
Added PIAA halogen bulbs for the high and fog lights.
Next step is HID lights for low beams.

Can't wait for a warmer day to shine this puppy up.
