Best price for a Limited?

Just bought a Limited fully loaded. Paid $40,000. Anyone get a better deal? I read on one post somone paying $39,000 but nothing lower than that. I'm pretty sure I have all the options except parking assist.

parking assist is not available on 4R. the best ive seen is 1000 below invoice, but thats with 1000 incentive from toyota.

Everyone says what they paid below invoice. A better yard stick is price under MSRP since dealers can always show you a fake invoice.

I got ~2k under MSRP on a SR5 w/premium, sunroof, DJ, tint, carpet mats, exhaust tip. MSRP 34,164, Paid 32,285

you can check the invoice on internet too and see if it matchs up. it should. hard for a dealer to "fake" the invoice nowadays. the well kept secret is the holdback, which no one for sure knows, but its around 2-3% of price.

Best Price for limited

I ordered a Black limited 4runner with Nav/floor mats MSRP $42,224. The Dealership discounted 3924 and it came to 38300. After Tax, Title and Liscense I was back to 40,499. That's the best I could do so far. The vehicle is to arrive in two weeks (currently at port) so hopefully toyota will discount a little further or at least extend the warranties.

i am in the same position as you. i've already negotiated a price and truck is set to arrive in the next week or two, but if toyota decides to give incentives/discounts in my state for the upcoming month of March, i don't know if the dealership will let me have those incentives/discounts. is that up to them or do they HAVE to give it to me since it is straight from toyota?

As long as you haven't taken delivery you are always eligible for whatever new rebates are available. I wish I had a toyota now so I could get the extra 1000 off.

Rebates come from the factory so they should have no bearing on the negotiated price of your vehicle.

I've negotiated about 2k off msrp and if a new rebate comes out in march when I go to pick mine up then it will be 2k + rebate off msrp.

I think everyone should say if they traded in or not. A lot of times the dealer will knock a couple grand off the car price while undervaluing your trade-in by the same amount.

I'm getting mine at employee pricing so there really isn't much room to negotiate and I don't expect I could negotiate better than what I'm getting. I'm not trading anything in either, so I figure I'm getting a pretty decent price on mine.

The sticker on mine was 41868 and I worked 4600 off sticker so prior to taxes I paid $37268.

My suggestion is for each person to list their price and any options on the vehicle along if they had a trade.

Traded in Nissan Altima 2003 for $5000

4.29% APR

I don't think I got a great deal but I don't think I got ripped off.

My Price

Ordered 2010 Toyota 4runner: Black Limited Edition, Beige Leather, Navigation, All weather floor mats. Other items (Everything that comes standard on the Limited, 20"s, Pullout Tray, Etc.) List price with options stated a 42224. Discount of 3924, which slots me in at the 38,300 mark. Plus Tax title and liscense. No Trade-in. The vehicle is due to arrive late next week so I am eagerly waiting on a Toyota (March) factory rebate/incentive to bring this price down in the 37000's. I feel much more comfortable paying that price than up in the 40's for this vehicle. By reading most of these threads you can see the people that are mechanically strong find the weeknesses of this vehicle.
Just to mention a few:
(Antenna, Narrow 20' rims, Cheap Jbl speakers, No V8,No 6 Speed Tranny,Lots of plastics,Lack of options)

I think 2500 is a good deal off on a new model year that is very hard to find instock. If I was a toyota dealership I wouldn't be giving any discounts.

a couple dealerships i visited in the Pittsburgh area wouldn't budge from sticker. the stealership that i bought it from, i have a friend that is a friend of the owner. He was pretty cool. we swapped some stories (got some dirt) on our mutual buddy. He didn't have a limited on his lot so he made some calls and had one sent up from Baltimore for me. so far great service!

Yeah, that isn't a bad price, IMO. I'm getting employee pricing and it isn't a whole lot better.
