Best price on SAW 1.5 Rear Coils

can you post a picture of your 4runner from the side? I was set to order these after seeing [MENTION=131488]ST1FLER[/MENTION] 's post BUT hearing the new ones give 2"+ I am a little leery

Most folks got around 2" even with the SAW coils, I was closer to 1.5" with third row, steel skids and sliders, and the stuff I carry in the back. I'm sure wheelers just used the same description since it's basically the same coil. Honestly I don't think most people would notice 1/4-1/2 difference in ride height, it's the reverse rake that tends to stand out.

ya right now I have daystar 1.5" spacers and I have reverse rake.

I agonized over rear springs both times I had to buy, the SAW were perfect and the ride was outstanding, until I got the rear bumper. I literally just replaced them last weekend with the toytec superflex HD. Honestly if I had know how easy it would be to change the springs I would have worried a lot less!

Not sure I have a perfect from the side shot. Let me see what I've got.

I've got Billy5100's on the fronts set to the 3rd ring, so something like 1.75" lift on the front and I was fender level with stock springs, but if you put ANYTHING in the back you'd be nose high in the front instantly. I feel like I'm back to a factory rake at this point, definitely butt high but once loaded should be good to go.

Only shot i have since I did the springs. And the angle is terrible

Great info! I also have the 3rd row, plus sliders and skids. What kind of sag do you get under a camping load? I'm guessing we add about 350 lbs or so loaded up for camping and I get about 1" of sag with stock springs. I'm planning to go 6112/5160 with 2.5" up front, so looking for 1.5-2" of rear lift. I just don't want to be reverse rake when loaded up for camping, so any info you have on loaded sag on the saws would be appreciated!

I have a LE w/ 3rd row, rock sliders, and an aluminum fuel tank skid. I have 6112/5160 with 2" on the front and 1.5" SAW on the rear and I would say I have a slight forward rake. With camping gear I am probably level. If you go 2.5" up front, I suggest going to 2" Icons or Toytec Superflex.

SSO rear bumper might be a while out given their current situation.. kinda worried I'd have too much rake if these go on now. Anyone got pics close to my numbers?

Edit: And it would be great if someone could educate us on how these springs are advertised to get ~1.5" on FJs and 4th gens (all quite a bit lighter than 5th gens) yet 5th gens get close to 2.5"????

3rd gen

Anyone know if the Wheeler’s T12 will work on the rear of a 3rd gen? If so how much lift? Their site says "2003-2009 4Runner and 2007-2014 FJ Cruiser. 2010+ 4Runner" however, I know there are people running the FJ springs on the rear of their 3rd gens. I appreciate any info.

bilstein at 1.75 and SAW coils

Bumping this thread... since I'm about to go with this setup (billies at 1.75 and SAW coils) Anyone else have this setup? Post pics please. Still second guessing myself if I should go with this setup or bump it up to 2.5, I too have 3rd row and custom cargo drawers for the rear.

I'm about to move to Alaska from South Carolina, I just don't want to have a saggy rear with billies set at 2.5 and saw coils for the rear. Also, worried with alignment issues with 2.5.

Ive got the new Wheelers T12 (eibach springs) I got every bit of 2" lift w/3rd row seat. It was significant for sure. Perfect for when we load down for 8 day trips though. Drives great unloaded too.
