2012 SR5 Turn Signal Housing Replacement

What's the best way to swap the turn signal/driving light housings out on a 2012? I found one video where a guy who didn't know what he was doing perform it. One of ours has a 1/4" round hole through the lens and the bulb which I replaced a few months ago is giving me fits working/then not starting a day ago. I made sure it was snapped in tight to the socket when I replaced it. The hole wasn't there when I replaced the bulb. Figured I need to replace the whole housing because of the hole.

Looks like you'd pull back the wheel well liner like when you are replacing a bulb, remove the chrome trim piece around the fog lights (unclip from the wheel well access?) to keep from breaking it when pushing out the housing, then there's two screws that hold the housing onto the bumper cover. Push it out the front?

Swapped out the pair of housings this morning. Bought TYC parts # 12527201 and 12527101 from RockAuto.

Removed the three screws holding the splash guard from the inside edge of the wheelwell like when you replace the turn signal bulb. I then removed the two small splash guards behind the bumper in the corner that are right below the turn signal and fog lights (like 6 screws). This only takes a few minutes and makes it much easier to get to the housings as it opens the whole area up for easy access.

Then I removed the fog light trim as it gets in the way removing the housing. With the whole area open it’s easy to get to the clips for the trim.

Next, removed the turn signal bulb from the housing. Then I removed the two small screws holding the housing to the bumper. Pushed the tabs on the two clips in and it came right out.

Reverse for the reassembly. Took me maybe an hour and I’m not mechanically inclined in the slightest and had no idea what I was doing. Someone with experience could probably do both in 1/2 hour.

Now the antenna grommet (ornament) sucked. Took out all the bolts on the edge and the 3-4 push clips on the splash shield right under the antenna area. Just pulled the shield toward me to open up enough room to get my arms in there. Couldn’t see anything but knew there was one bolt holding the attend mount on. All I had to do was break that bold loose and about 1/4 runs lets the antenna mound drop out of the way enough to pop the new grommet in from the outside of the quarter panel. No trimming the thing and it hold better in my opinion. Then I just screws the antenna back in, held it up as high as it would go so the antenna mount was up in the grommet good and snugged the bolt back up. I hope I never have to do it again. Sucked.
