I'll start...
Out on Long Island we have beach access, and it's not like that Daytona Beach sand that you can drive on in a Corolla, I'm talking a REAL beach. I go out there frequently, mostly because it's less crowded and I don't like paying 10 bucks to park in the lot.
This one time, I was driving down the beach, and I see this BRIGHT YELLOW Hummer H2, belly on the sand with all 4, 24" Chrome wheels with rubber band tires spinning freely. As I pull up next to the 0% tinted windows, I chuckle, and call to see if they need help. The door opens. Out hops this dude, 5'3" and at least 180lbs, straight-up meathead, mixes steriods with his vodka kinda guy. You know the one who is always holding his cell phone cause he can't put his arms down far enough to reach his pocket, yeah that guy. Then the back window rolls down...3 blazing gorgeous girls. I don't think you understand. Like so hot I thought it was photoshop for a second, until I remembered it was real life.
"I let the air out, I dont know...", says the juicer.
I looked at the tires, looked up at him, back at the tires, then up at the girls, all waering their sad puppy dog faces. I let out a sigh, and pulled around the front of him.
"Wait...don't you have a shovel?", says meathead, "That little truck can't pull out a Hummer!"
The girls giggle.
I flashed a condescending smile at him as I hooked my 50k pound tow strap to his front bumper.
"Dude, be careful...this truck is expensive", he says.
I looked at him and said, very snarky, "I won't tell your dad you got his truck stuck if you shut up and let me help you."
The girls gasp. He gets heated.
I hop in the drivers seat. Neurtal, 4WD Low, Center Diff Lock (juuust to be safe, don't wanna look like a moron), Drive.
Easy, she came right out. He goes to unhook it and I stopped him.
"It's cool, I'm free now, we're gonna go down by the water" he says to me.
I look up, with a face on that says 'are you an idiot?' and I said to him, "I'm pulling you to the parking lot, go get some real tires, and then come back on the beach."
Pulled him to the parking lot, got one of the girls' phone number afterwards, and went back on the beach to resume surfing.
good times.

that is such a sweet story
I was with my friend. He has a 2004 grand cheeroke, stock, I have my 4runner, but with old, no thread tires. he gets stuck 'cause he underestimated the depth of the puddle in this offroad place. thinkin its at about 6-8 inches lol, his hood takes a dive, and the engine shuts off. my 4runner is on dry land, and there was no way I could get close enough within 10ft to pull him out, everything was mud. after a while, big f350 dually accidentally comes by, pulls him out to dry, and i pulled him all the way home
didn't have any experience at the time, it was my first time offroading

haha i want to hear a follow up on the girl!! haha well my storys have always been just friends that i have pulled out nothing to fun. few jeeps and what not. im usually the one who got pulled out in my old 85 runner because i was the only one with balls to do anything fun! but.... i have had surfboards in my runner too! went for the first time back in january for my birthday 
but i think its funny. jeep really needs to make more recovery points on their vehicles cause come on... the do get stuck too.

biggest thing I thought was ****ed was the axle, 'cause we pulled him out by the axle in the back wheel. Absolutely couldn't find a better spot to pull out, digging trough the mud to find something to hook up to. but turned out good

My only good story was in my CJ-5. It was season-end pick up day from summer camp in Brazil and there was only a one lane dirt road into the place and it had been raining hard. In the middle of a long line of parent grocery getters was a full-size yellow school bus to take the city kids home that got stuck on a dip with its rear bogeys on the ground and the drive wheels spinning in the air. Nothing going anywhere. Lots of angry parents, a desperate camp director, really dumb bus driver, and 150 kids wanting to go home. I went into command mode, told them to empty out the bus, took the CJ-5 around the mess of cars over the ditch into the field and back onto the road and hooked up to the front of the bus. Then I piled a dozen counselors into the back of my rig and hanging off the sides, dropped into 4L, revved up the six-cylinder Maverick engine and yanked that sucker out of the dip. The whole time the bus driver is freaking out--he put it in neutral but he wouldn't start his engine until after I had moved him. 10-year old Tim Jr. was the camp hero that day, even if his old man was a crazy American.
This is pretty much a knock on the toyota tacomas than anything, well sorta. About 2 years or so ago we got about 2 feet of snow in the KC area. A bunch of friends went out that night in the small town of Warrensburg (about 15,000 people including the 11,000 students at the university, very small town). My buddy got his 4WD Tacoma stuck in the snow so I had to pull him out with my Chevy Blazer at 3am in the morning (dumb college students), but the key was I had BFG's AT KO's. Now my blazer clearance is clearly not 2 feet so I was pretty much plowing snow with my front valance on the Blazer, I felt like such a badass pulling out a truck with a SUV. Moral of the story, BFG's rocked that ass that night.

soooo....just got home from a trail with my buddy in his Nissan Frontier...
so he finds this HUGE puddle...about 35-40 feet long and 20 feet wide, and he says "i wanna get muddy!!!" and drives through the puddle at full speed. I'm watching from the "shore" and as he's going through the puddle, i see the headlights dim. bad news. the truck comes to a rest. then the headlights dim again, and again, and again. he's trying to start it, but it won't crank.
now he's dead center of this puddle so deep that i cannot see the tops of his 31" tires.
we decide that we need to get the truck out of the puddle before we do anything, so i back my truck into the puddle (stupid idea, but the only way) and i had to climb through the interior to get to the trunk, get juuuuust close enough to get the tow strap on his hitch ball, and climb back through to the drivers seat.
now in 4LOW + Center Diff lock, i am throwing mud everywhere, but steadily pulling him out of the puddle
once i got him to dry land, the Nissan started up, after some convincing. we decided that it was time to go home.
on the way back, at one point i was up on a hill, sideways and then the front drivers tire went down into a rut and i felt the rear pass tire lift, then the rear drivers side came up and the truck tilted more...this thing was gonna roll...luckily i had the drivers side window open and i stuck my hand out and held onto a tree to balance the truck on one wheel....then i slowly let off the break while turning the steering wheel and got out unharmed...
i'm gonna stay away from this trail from now on....
nobody else with good stories? am i the only one who yanks people out all the time?

I've thought about putting stickers on the side of my hood, kinda like the old war planes did when they shot other planes down. You know, of cars and trucks I've pulled out LOL!!
Let's see.... My (arrogant) buddy's lifted and superchipped F-150, a few Heeps, 1 Ford Ranger full of punk kids stuck in a lake bed. Let's not forget their buddies in a Mazda car (with the signature Coffee can muffler!) that were trying to recover the Ranger by driving into the lake to push from behind.
And my favorite... A 350 pound man with his dog sitting in the lake up to the bottoms of the windows. In a brand spanking new Chevrolet pickup. I swear fish were pouring out when I pulled him out and he opened the door. Then he calls his dad, who shows up with only a clothes line to pull the truck home. They went about 2 ft from each others bumper and looped the clothes line in the shape of a triangle and took off. I seriously doubted if that truck ever made it home!

So I head down this short local trail in the dead of winter all by myself. The trail is pretty rutted up and can get seriously muddy at times but I figured the ground would be frozen so no big deal... well.... now I got this goin on...
So I call my friend with a Jeep GC with a small lift and some dayton m/ts to come and help me out. He doesn't even make it halfway to where I'm stuck and he ends up in this situation.....
Luckily I have more than one friend, so I call my buddy who has an old ford ranger with a small lift and big attitude.... and he get stuck
I think you guys can see where this is going. Me and the Jeep guy were able to push the ranger and help him get free at which point he left the trail since he wouldn't be any more help.
I get ahold of another friend of mine with a 04 Wrangler on 35" Baja Claws. He tries pulling on the Jeep first to get him free. Basically he ends up stuck to where he can't pull the jeep backwards and can't drive forwards and the tow strap is tight between the two Jeeps.
We thought my buddy could use his ranger to try and pull the Wrangler forwards so that he could unhook from the severely stuck Grand Cherokee... Now they are all three stuck with a tight strap between the two Jeeps and another between the Wrangler and Ranger...
Thank god for full-size chevys...
