Best source for tapping a constant +12v

What would be the best source, fuse or place to tap into a constant +12v source? I want to hook up my GPS to a constant +12v source and I don't know what is the best way to do it? What kind of connectors do I need and where do I find them?

The ignition harness typically has the best sources for voltage usage. Typically speaking though, if an auxiliary power source...ie cig lighter plug... is easilly accessible, then I say go to it. These GPS units come with plugs to hook them into the cig lighter plug anyway, so if they can plug in to the port then I say you can easily directly wire it into the same wires.

I also don't generally suggest wiring switch or constant off the radio. I suggest using the radio ignition wire as a trigger to a relay and using another constant 12V source as the "relayed" wire.

Depending on how many options you have on your T4R, you might have some 'spares' in your fusebox. I did. I installed a second cigarette lighter (pair) with inline fuse for my GPS and my phone so that they are not switched. Very simple. Took less than 1/2 hour. Cost less than $10.

This sounds vey interesting and fun to do. Do you mind explaining how you did it? If pooossible cann you include some pictures...Thanks to all of for answering my posting.
