Best tires for a 2004 4Runner Limited?

Hello all,

I bought my 2004 4runner last September but, unfortunately, I think the tires need to be replaced. It's a used vehicle.

What kind of tires are best and how much should I pay?

I drive mostly on the road with an occasional modest offroad/dirt road trip while hunting.

I talked to the dealership and they said it would be about $450 for tires that would be about what the factory tires are (bridgestone and something else I can't remember).

I guess I am looking for a good deal on tires that will mostly be used for onroad travel but that can be taken a bit offraod if necessary and that are also good in the winter.

By the way, this is my first SUV (and I love it!) so sorry if these are stupid questions. I am learning a lot as I go so thank you if you can assist me.

BTW, I looked at a bunch of other SUVs including Jeeps, CRVs, Rav4s, etc. and when I found my 4runner I knew it was the right one for me! Awesome vehicle!!!!

There are several very good tires for the 4Runner. Find out what priorities are important to you and do a search. There is a lot of tire info on this site. Tires are like motor oil everyone has their brand preference, so you will get varied opinions.

For a good overall tire at a low price, check out BFG long trails. They come in a size 1" larger but cheaper and they last forever.
