Best tires for MN Winters

Alright, it's not a 5th gen, but I need these on my '14 to get to my ice fishing spots.

Ha! That guy spent $10K to go through 5" deeper snow than I can with snow tires. That's $2,000 per inch.

There's no snow on the frozen lakes, I was just out ice fishing on leech lake tonight and it's glare ice. In the summer I'm gonna buy a conversion van and turn it into a mobile ice fish house and there won't be any tracks on it...... maybe studded tires since it's so icy.

Bridgestone Blizzak DMV2s are incredible tires and I know MN winters are to Hi so it will be worth it. My brother is running a studded set of Cooper Winter tires and the performance is almost the same. They are such a great tire I can't say enough.

x2 on the bridgestones. I have been running a set of blizzaks in the winter for two seasons now and I have nothing but good things to say. Best snow tires Ive ever driven with.

I'm assuming you don't fish much if you think there's never snow on frozen lakes. On trout opener I was pulling the portable through 2ft of snow with the snowmobile. Yesterday we used 4-wheelers. It just depends on the region and conditions.

I'm out every weekend I have a cabin on leech, there was maybe 7 inches of snow 3 weeks ago on the ice. If only those 20 inches of snow from November stuck around. I'm not saying that there's never any snow on the lakes, just this year there isn't much. I've been out on leech in February with 3 feet of snow on the ice you couldn't get anywhere unless you were on a snowmobile. And for what I caught here's some perch and one walleye

And those are some good crappies. I like to go on lake Minnetonka and catch them during the week when I get off of work early enough.
