Best Touch Up Paint & Application Method

Hey Folks - I just purchased a millennium silver 2000 with quite a few areas that need some small touch ups. Where is the best place to purchase quality, matching paint? Also, what is the best application method, without purchasing some expensive equipment? I would also like to touch up my bumper as well - it is not chrome but looks to be a match of the body color. Additionally, any solutions for minor bumper dents?

For what it will cost you to buy the products, ask your local deal who they use for touch up work.

Try to find a touch of color franchise in your area. It's the company I work for, I know we have a few technicians in CA. Our product are the best, and the quality of work is great!

2 warnings on touch ups:

1. Paint fades over time. Silver you may be lucky and get away with it ok, but darker colors will fade in the sun over time. I tried touching up my grey Toyota a few years ago but the paint was significantly darker due to aging and the "matching" paint looked terrible. Was the correct factory coded paint too.

2. If not the same type of paint (single-stage touch up paint applied on paint with a clear coat) and the touch up paint starts to peel, it will take the clear coat off with it making the problem even worse than how it started. Also seen this on Toyotas.

Even with the correct paint color it will never match 100%.

I do touch up and scratch removal for a living. It doesn't matter how new or old the car is, the psint will never match. I custom tint the color for every car I work on. It's the only way to get a correct match. Once the color is correct it's very easy to make a scratch almost completely disappear. I've fixed scratches on cars where a body shop wanted to paint the whole side of the vehicle. After using my products you could find where the scrathches were.
